problems with acne anyone? because i do
i have had a problem with acne for a few years now. it went away for a while but then it came back.
i mostly get it on my chin and it's red and not very attractive i usually find myself putting loads of makeup on to cover it up but what i really want is just to have nice skin so i won't even have to wear makeup at all for school i just want to wear it on the weekends and when i'm hanging out with friends.
does anyone have any tips or advice on getting rid of my acne?
what types of products worked for you?
Yeah mine totally came back when I started working out, and I hadn't had a zit in like 7 or 8 years. I bought some clearasil ultra face wash. It worked like a charm.
Hi-This is such a terrible problem, but you can get rid of it. I think you need to find our why you get it. Is it hormonal or not. If its hormonal then the birth control pill can work for you. Sounds like you're still in school so I don't know what your parents might think, but it is a valid use of the pill. I use YAZ and it really helps. But sometimes I still broke out. I tried everything before to clear up my tough case. Over the counter, TV products you name it, perscription acne stuff, but nothing really worked. My doctor carries a line called Glytone. Its amazing and I rarely break out now. So that's my advice for a working combination for hormonal acne, the pill and glytone!
Good Luck!
I'm not always 100% clear-faced either, (God do I envy you lucky people who are lol) but a product that really did help my acne alot was Pro-Active. I know its over commercialized and pretty expensive, but it really does make your skin clearer and softer after just a few uses. Now don't get me wrong, everyone's skin is different, so it may it not totally clear you up, and using too much could really dry your skin out pretty badly too---nothing's perfect---but if your acne is truly severe, you should definately look into start using it. Ugh, I feel your pain, so I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!
I do this. If that's not your style try The Regimen over at Acne.org. That worked for me but it was kinda harsh on my skin. OCM works much better for me.
For spot treatments I've found Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask works very well.
Hmmm, I think I do a version of OCM....
A few different things and products work for me, but I'll say in advance that I've never had bad breakouts. Also, keep in mind that everyones skin is different, what works for me might not work for you at all.
One thing that I've found that has worked pretty well is grape seed oil. I'll massage a generous amount onto my face for a few minutes and then rinse it off (starting with warm rinse and finishing with a cooler rinse) and then I pat dry. Sometimes I'll massage the oil onto my face before jumping in the shower and rinse it off at the end.
Grape seed oil also works well for me while doing a steam on my face. I apply it before I steam my face.
Also, I've been using nourish products for a while. http://www.skinenergizer.com/Acne-Treatments- s/195.htm I've only used their face wash, toner, and complexion skin cream. The face wash a moisturizer have really worked well for me.
