2 problems with the site recently

Quote  |  Reply

I've been a CC member for over a year, but recently there seem to be some problems with the way the site is functioning for me.

CC freezes on me ALL THE TIME! It seems like ads are always loading and if I hit the back button or something, the window freezes and I have to use control alt delete to close it. Does this only happen to me? I haven't tried accessing the site on another computer, so I'm not sure if it's just my problem or not.

Second, on the CC toolbar, there is a little rectangle showing total weight loss to date. I have lost about 43 pounds, but it's only showing -35.4. It used to show the correct amount before. Is this because it only registers the weight log for one year back? I'm thinking this may be the problem.

Thanks to whoever replies!

The problem with the Ads is one I had too.  I had to switch from using Internet Explorer to using Mozilla Firefox.  Then, on the Mozilla website there is an "add on" that will block ads from loading.  Once I did that I don't have the ad problem anymore.

It's very frusterating that I had to switch browsers but I felt the site is enough of a benefit that I did it.

I am also having the site freeze up ALL of the time and having to go through the same procedure.  SO FRUSTERATING!  The other day we had a couple of different pages open, and my hubby lost a job application he was completing and had to start over!

For me, this site has been excruciatingly slow.  Just adding one food feels like it takes 5 minutes!  My computer does not do that with any other site.

I also suffer from CC freeze up.  I get the message Bad URL at the bottom of my screen and have to control alt delete.  This is the only site it happens on for me.  I think it has something to do with the ads loading.

I highly recommend installing an ad blocker.  Also try the site with different web browsers such as firefox instead of internet explorer and see if you experience the same issues.  It could be your computer, your bandwidth, your isp provider, etc.

I was having the same issue with my IE freezing up and then decided to change to Mozilla. It has been about a month since I downloaded it and have so far had no further problems.

Yea, once I switched to firefox instead of ie, all the problems I had w the ads and freezing stopped immediately.

I do hope someone who's in charge of these sorts of problems sees this though, obviously there is a problem with how IE loads the page, and there should be a way to fix it on CC's end.  I prefer to use IE and it's a bit irritating to have to change my browser preference.
