It's not actually that new a conclusion.  Jamie Oliver's 'School Dinners' programme highlighted the way a poor diet can cause behavioural and concentration problems in children.  A few years ago a study was done on prisoners..... the group being fed the better diet being better behaved, more relaxed, less aggressive.   I can even point you at an article called 'The Depression Relief Diet'.... foods to enhance your mood!

I've always been convinced that 'you are what you eat'... and that nutrition and cognitive function are linked.

I believe it, the days I eat healthiest and get the most exercise, are the days I feel best and do my best.  It has also done wonders for my mental health as well as my physical health, though it certainly isn't a replacement for meds that may be necesary, for a mental illness as in my case, it can certainly go a long way to improving the situation.

Its like the old computer addage, go/go.  Garbage in = garbage out

Yeah I agree with gi-jane, it's true but not necessarily what I would call news.

I read studied ten years ago about the effects of processed food on kids with behavioural problems, and similar studies with kids who had ADHD.
