I am a tough lover.  Go to dinner without him.  He is now an adult legally.  He is not going to want to do what the family does until he is around 24.  I have 7 young adults.  You will have to go on with your life and do want makes you happy.  You can not live for him nor allow him to do what is illegal and stupid.  He may have to find out the hard way.  Give him a card for his BD and give him the computer at graduation when he will need it.

We have to differentiate between enabling and helping.  That is a lifelong process especially for our loved ones.

Is cheicken and turkey considered dairy?  I am trying to understand why my doctor said to eat more fish and poultry to lower my cholesterol when it has the same amount of choloesterol as red meat.

Hi. I finally made it to the blog!  I solemnly swear that I will make every effort to get in 20 mins of exercise every day, either before I go to work, at lunchtime, or after work.  My goal is the 10,000 steps you need to take each day.  No complaining, no explanation, just do it.  I currently weigh 200.6 up from my original posted weight.

Perfect timing.  I just gained 5 pounds this week after losing last week finally.  I have lost a total of 8 pounds and it has taken 3 months.  I said to myself this morning.  Okay, look at what you did the week you lost and do it again.  No fooliing around.  Get serious!

I  believe this group will help me stay on track and stop rationalizing why I can eat so many exceptions to the plan.  Looking forward to September 3.

Friday was our 5th yr wedding anniversary.  We went to Amish country in central Ohio.  This Monday I weighed 198.4, the same as last week.  That's amazing since we ate all kinds of great amish cooking and desserts.  But we did do a lot of walking!  Hopefully I will lose this week.  Thanx for following up on me.  I would have skipped posting without your email.

That is so good to know.  I don't like water, but knowing that it will help me on the scale is motivation to drink some.  I am having a difficult time losing even one pound.  I am definitely eating less and exercising more.

I am curious to know what you ate on the 1200 calorie days.  I am just starting out, not very active and I am hungry and tired with 1200 calories.
