My daughter gets these and she also gets them in her underarm area.  They would be so painful she had a hard time moving her arm.  We thought she was getting them due to her diabetes.  It turns out it was stress, diet and just plain old growing up.  She did go to a dermatologist, got a rx (no sure what it was called) and then a cleanser for the immediate area.  She hasn't had one in 2 years.  Be sure to care for them because they can cause serious infections and leave scarring.
