Yes! I'm Alli, 14 years old and 168 lbs. When I started about two weeks ago, I was 178 and almost to 180 (it was the nutellla. God, do I love that spreadable hazelnut devil...) and now I've dropped to 168! Eating healthy and drinking more water has really made me feel really positive, even through our week of 8th grade finals! I'd love to talk more with you, and I totally agree. People that are on here that are really small want to lose weight, and I know that it isn't healthy. Just remember to pace yourself and get atleast 1500 cals a day. Happy weight loss! C":

I'm 14 and my lifelong dream is to work with animals in anyway, primarily an ER Vet or a Zoo Vet. Currently I'm taking three Highschool classes that get me credits in 8th grade but I've been invited to the only AP class they offer to freshmen next year, and my grades are never below an 85...I'm not sure where I will go to school at, but I know that when I get my license I will start jobs and saving for college. Right now I just have a summer job of watching over my siblings and I might get to volunteer at a shelter soon.

Yay! C: How about every other day, we post our current status, weight, and experiences? I'd love to learn about you guys. I'll start!

Date: 5/7/2012 Current Weight: 168 Loss/Gain since last recorded: -2 Mood: Nervous~ How was your day?: Well, it's almost the end of the school year. That's a plus. However, in my Accel GPS Algebra/Geometry class (10th grade class) we are going to have to take our EOCT on Wednesday...it's nerve racking!! I'm certain I will pass, but I'm still scared. Tomorrow we are studying all day. On a positive note, I scored a solo for our final chorus concert! C": Happy weight loss! <3

Thanks for the tips! In just two weeks, I've dropped 7 lbs! I'm so proud... I'm cutting the soda off, too, and keeping Starbucks to a min. (Oh how I love their frappes...) Would bottled lemonade be okay? Other than water, milk is the only thing I've been drinking. Yes, I do play sports! I lovelovelove softball! I'm going to try out for the freshman team in August with my friends and if I don't make it, I'll go into rec ball instead. while I wait, I'll be walking and swimming! I just wish it wasn't so rainy this week..had to cut my walk short. I'm going to keep working hard to shed some pounds! I'm really gaining back my self esteem, and I've been pretty happy lately. This is making me feel great!

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
