Thanks :) I don't want to lose much weight, just between 10 and 15 pounds.

Vitamin C..thats like oranges ect? Could add some of that in, especially with orange juice. I don't like the fruit much (when I was younger I always ate oranges with tonnes of pits and its kinda put me off lol!) but I love fresh orange juice.

Dark green leafies - do you mean like salad leaves or broccoli? I do love broccoli but can hardly stomach salad leaves, I have to eat it in small doses haha.

That list in particular may not add up to 2000 but I did just throw it together, I do count up all my calories atm. I often find myself a few hundred calories under at the end of the day and sometimes have trouble filling it, as I want to eat something healthy but don't know what, if you see what I mean!


thanks :) I do always eat wholegrain, can't remember the last time I had white. Thanks again, will try and incorporate some of those suggestions

I..generally eat decently well but do go through stages of eating badly.

I think I'll restrict my calories to about 2000, (as I did before and steadily lost a pound per week), as well dribking more water, and eating the food you suggest.

I remember the big difference when I started a diet previously was how much better I felt, I'm not sure how I slipped back into eating badly but..

Thanks :) I've heard of fluid retention but didn't know it caused a difference in appearance, I thought it was just weight...But I suppose it has to sit somewhere.

Yeah, thats why I was happy to maintain over the summer because I don't /need/ to diet, but I have a fair bit of fat around my stomach and upper legs which I'd like to reduce..

Managed to post before giving my stats.

I'm 16, 5 foot 7, 151 pounds.

I have 2 horses so I do between 40 minutes - 2 and a half hours of exercise a day [riding that is]. But its not hard exercise - like I don't often get very hot and sweaty doing it, but its still exercise.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah durh. -head bang-

16/5 foot 8/152/female

Well I was 150 yesterday so pretty sure its water weight, but 2 pounds water weight (which DOES make a difference) and + about 2 pounds proper sounds fab to me. Every little helps!

My friend is coming over in 15 days and i'd love to have lost more or less 5 pounds by then.

lucky for me I have a head start as havn't been counting for a couple of months so will lose some water weight too :P

133. I'm 145 now and 5 foot 8.

I look pretty slim here but I want to give myself some leverage as I never want to over over 140 again. I have tonnes of muscle from sport too.

I'd be eating a lot more than that if I were you!

We have pretty similar states - I'm 5 foot 8, atm 151 and aiming to get down to 133. Also carry my weight on my thighs and hips which I hate.

Anyway, I eat 2000 calories a day and lose1 and a bit pounds on that a week, though I'm cutting to 1800 to lose a bit more before the prom. Mind you I am very active, but I'd up to at least 1500 if I were you, when I ate 1200 cals a day I lost 5 pounds a week, when I stopped I gained it all back...

Welll...Gonna try and find someone who can take it in after my holiday (as then even if I havn't finished, in 2 weeks I can't hope to lose more than a couple of pounds if I'm so close to my goal won't make a difference) and if I can't find anyone I'll just buy a new one.

Yeah I think...I'll keep dieting, cos at the end of the day, I've ALWAYS wanted to lose weight, and at last I'm motivated and losing, so I don't wanna give that up (and i should be finished by then if I keep going) for 1 night.

I think..I'll try the dress on again right after I get back from holiday (going away for a week - 10 days right after I finish exams) and then I have 2 weeks of freedom to travel round the country to buy one.

Been riding for 10 years so I reckon you could say I'm used to it ;)

It was my birthday last week. On Monday I followed calories until the evening when I ate a foot long meatball subway and a cookie, next day I just binged. (my actual birthday) I actually felt sick for stuffing food down when I wasn't hungry but I wanted to make the most.

I gained 3 pounds...Then weigh day today, and I've lost those 3 pounds AND a 4th one. Don't worry too much about it, everyone has set backs.

I'm a medium bone structure and am 5 foot 8. I started off at 162lbs and for me, that was where I start to look a bit tubby. I've never been much heavier, but thats when I start to feel fat.

But like everyone says, it varies.
