I dressed up like i was going someplace really fancy. Donned a pair of "Blues Brother" sunglasses,  safety pinned a bunch of desk calendar days all over me ( front, back, sides...). Found me a really long, thin stick and using white and red duct tape made me a walking pointer...  Viola

Meta I see what your saying I really do, but I am not wearing your stigma of "not my Problem."  I refuse.   My main haunts are the Lounge & Fitness.  I open anywhere from 6 to 20 tabs depending on the titles/topics.  I dont feel the need to check profiles on every tab because ...I know most of the reg's that post in these 2 forums.  Plus, most of the teens who do happen to make a post in the Lounge state that within their topic or it becomes evident within the next 10 posts.  Either by obviousness or a reg who posts frequently will spot them out.

This thread was a fluke. It slipped through the precautionary loops that most of us have in place.  Mine is that I wont speak with a "goofball whiney, bratty teens".  Geez I barely speak to you all...lol  And if I wanted to speak to any I would go to their forums. Or enter the next room and talk to my 3...LOL  ( Now this doesnt apply to the ones who are serious about or have a serious problem.  The ones who are truly seeking help that sometimes you can only get by strangers who dont know you or arent so close to the problem. <~~  major run-on-sentence. I'm the queen of those too. ;0] )

Most of us our safe, sane, caring adults.  So rest assured Meta your not alone.  :0]

Going back to my lil cobbie web.. I've spoken farrrrrrrrrrrr to much for one day.

Okay there are a couple of things I would like to touch upon;

1.  As "Lurker Extraordinaire"  I take personal affront to all derogatory comments made about lurkers.   I have been your cozy lil cob-web in the corner for almost 4 years. ( In 18 days I can scratch the almost part. ;0] )

2.  I am not going to check every profile of the poster on threads which I am going to read for a variety of reasons.  Time being one of them.  When I pop into the Lounge I open a bunch of tabs on topics I find funny, interesting, drama filled.  Sometimes I don't even read half the tabs I have open because I have to go again.

Plus I'm a lurker! A spon-ton poster of sorts.  So I am suppose to read a profile before I post IF the urge hits me to post?? Not... lol     This thread looked light-hearted and funny, so I responded in kind.   Based on this thread and this thread alone... I am safer in the corner.

3.  If anybody gets up in my grill Kg, Lys, and Spiro are the first ones I'm calling out for and you better have my back if for no other reason than... I am the resident....  Lurker Extraordinaire. Wink

Most of us have a "Linen" Closet for towels, bed sheets, and other assorted bric-a-brac.

I used to have two shelves devoted to the bed sheets. One pile fitted, one flat, and then another pile for pillow cases.   It was just taking up so much room in the closet and a pain to rifle through trying to find matching sets.  So what I started doing...  Was using 1 of the pillow cases to store the rest of the set in.  I would fold the flat, fitted and remaining case and slide them into the other pillow case.

Down to 1 shelf with the added advantage that I know when i grab a pillow case everything will match. Laughing

I live in an apartment with a balcony and love Love container gardening!  Last year got a late start so only had a pepper tree and an herb garden next to my grill.  But lots of flowers!! Smile

This year I am going all out!  I will have three tiered hanging baskets of varying lettuce and hanging baskets of strawberries.  I am going to put up two trellises one for green beans and the other will be used to hang my herbs off of this time around.  I will have red, green and yellow peppers, plus my pepper tree again. cherry & grape tomatoes purple, red, yellow, and orange, cucumbers as well.

That will do me for this year. They are all easy growers especially with a south facing balcony like mine.  Oh and flowers... lots n lots okay just "lots" of flowers.  It is only a balcony after all...lol

Another reason maybe... She wants to be a part of what everyone else is, showing some support and group camaraderie.  I know I would if the whole gym is doing something fun. :0]

Perhaps she wants to up her game in the exercise department, or maybe she has become slack in her eating and is hoping to gain a little discipline.

Or maybe, just maybe she is looking to make some new friends whom she has something in common with.  I mean all the contestants are at the gym she is at, plus everyone is working on improving themselves one way or another, like she is. :0]

I definitely agree about the insecurity issues but not quite as kindly. You have a child together and your ex will continue to be a part of your life.  You don't have to let your ex walk all over you but you can continue to be a nice human being and help her when it benefits both her and your son and causes you no harm - and any potential partner should learn to appreciate that you can put aside any pain your ex may have caused you and find it in your heart to be a kind person and a responsible parent and also recognize that this doesn't mean that you want to be with her.

If your new partner cannot understand that you have connections to the mother of your child then it's not a strong start - insecurity is not a strong foundation for a relationship.  It's not your responsibility to "fix" this for her - and changing who you are to accommodate her pettiness is not a step forward for you.  If she cares enough to try to work through her jealousy and insecurity that is up to her but in the meantime be present, be consistent but be clear that this is an aspect of who you are and you will continue to help your ex if and when you feel it is necessary and appropriate.  You can try to explain but you really shouldn't have to justify helping the mother of your child.

Hey, you shouldn't have admitted to that but instead started posting like you know us all while sporting an anonymous avi! Most of us would havegone crazy trying to find out whose sock-puppet you are.

How is Austria? Are you guys having lots of snow? I am thankful it's staying over zero degrees here - with me being ill an having to take out the dog 5 times a day - but slowly I am starting to pine for a bit of proper snow....

As to the first paragraph... Who says I won't, there's still time Wink . LOL

I love LOVE Austria! No we have no snow yet in my area. Which is a bit disconcerting.  I am looking forward to it very much but by the time it gets here spring will be just around the corner.  That's going to seriously cut down on my schimpfen time.

I know most of you by now though its a one sided relationship we have.  Which is beginning to feel a wee bit selfish on my part.  I'm a long time lurkerish... tossing a post in here or there.

But I knew pumpkins from her former site 3fc where I was an avid poster.  Sat on my fingers a few times but it wasnt so hard because I knew PG would be about shortly...lol  Anyhoo the point, it was all a matter of time.
