Bio

I hit 142 right around the time that I got married last year.  At 5'3'' I was in the overweight category for BMI.  I gained weight right up until my wedding despite the step classes and bi-weekly sessions with a personal trainer.  I had always eaten what I considered to be a healthy diet but the bottom line was that I ate way too much at each sitting and didn't listen to my body's signals.

Now I have lost more than 20 pounds by adding 3-4 days of running to my schedule and eating only when hungry.  I followed a 10 week plan to go from walking 30 minutes to running thirty minutes. 

Update 6/2007 - I will complete my fourth 5K this weekend, something I never thought I would do!  Well, I really have a good 10 pounds to go I think.  I just took the bikini pictures and I have to say I thought that 123 would look better!  I really need to work on the abs and hips! (pilates - it works)

Update 7/2/2007: I am officially 119 pounds light and that leaves less than 5 pounds to goI have lost 23 pounds and it feels great!  I am going to add fitness goals and rewards to my profile today so that I can start shifting from weight loss to long range goals.  I know that these last four pounds are gonna put up a fight but I am ready to take em' down!

Run 10 miles = Spa treatment ($100) or new road sneakers

Log 25 miles in a week = Road ID
