About

Bio
My Weight Ticker I have 2 children, 3 years old and the baby just turned 1. I am having trouble losing the weight, I find myself always between 145 and 150, I am rather large boned, 5'3" and the weight seems to sit nicely on me, but it is not what I want.  I work 3rd shift 56 hours a week as a nurse and I am a full time mom/wife leaving little time for me, I am exhausted!  But that is what works for my family right now.   We had been an Active Duty Marine family in SC where the weather was always beautiful and the baby weight from my first  dropped fast and I looked amazing! I actually lost 20 lbs more than my prepregnancy weight!  I was so motivated and had a great girlfriend there that kept me moving.  Since then we returned to our home state of RI, not so consistant weather and alot more expensive to live so we have to work all the more harder to makes ends meet, so basically I have no time to take care of ME!  Everyone else is doing just great!  My husband is motivating, but he unfortunately cant make more time in the day for me to get a meaningful workout in, and even if i could I am just beat, tired.  I am looking to find motivation and a system that holds me accountable for what I eat.  After doing this just one day I found that I was undereating, starving and that probably is inhibiting me from dropping the pounds.  I know this will be a great tool for me and I plan on sticking to it!

It is great that knowing that I am not the only one that has bad days, days I feel like being a bum but then I read the Slim In 6 forum and see how much progress is going on and I am inspired to get moving.  I certainly am not a fitness buff but I did do this program after my 1st baby and let me tell you... I was HOT!  hence how I got pregnant with number two shortly thereafter!  I blame my husband!

I was about 155 prior to my first pregnancy, 180 when I delivered, and after I completed Slim in 6 I was 130, my #1 baby was about 9 months old by then.  So that is a whopping 25 lbs less than pre pregancy weight!  Was I impressed... hell yeah I was!  This works, I swear by it.  Now I am kicking myself for not starting back on it earlier.  My #2 baby is 13 months now.  I am 145...  striving for 130!

Stick with it... I am at your side the whole way!

A Week of Clean-Eating Dinners
I’m trying to give my eating habits a little cleanup these days. It’s easy to pay close attention to what I’m eating on the weekends when I’ve got tons of time on my hands to prepare delicious meals, but during the week when time is less available I feel the pull of convenience foods for their, well, convenience. Here’s what I try to live by when all I have is 30 minutes to prepare a "clean" meal.
