Awww, a wedding! that is a good motivator!

Well, I said I was going to have a superbusy day yesterday....that was only the tip of the iceberg!

When our principal is out of the building, (or, out of town -yesterday) I am acting Principal. Hence the "super busy" on a normal day.

But yesterday was no normal day by our little quiet Christian school standards. A grenade. yup, a grenade. Disarmed, but the real thing, brought to school by, get this, a 7 year old. O.M.G.(goodness)

I dealt with panicked teachers, freaked out parents, police, social workers, Foster care workers, my long distance boss, and the poor little boy.

I also ate my way through the stress.

What a day.

Good girl Suz!

I like Liam Neeson, he is so versatile...awful about his wife though!

I also had a so so day yesterday, which ended with 2 glasses of wine...do we see a pattern here? LOL

today is going to be super busy, the kind where I don't have time to snack ( I hope!) so Off I go, I'll let you know how well it goes!

I am right there with you. GRRRRR. I have had a rough week: MIL and favorite aunt both passed away, funerals on Mon and Tue, one in New Jersey and one in Oregon. What a mess. SO what did I do ? EAT.

*sigh*

We gotta toughen up, buckle down, and GET FOCUSED!Yell

Crial,

BTW, Welcome!

You have some deep thoughts there. I agree that it is stresses elsewhere in life that change our focus from " lose weight" to "deal with other crisis".

For me there is maybe an added element: when I am dealing with that "other crisis" (whatever it may be)I feel a bit sorry for myself and shift to a "poor me" thinking that says I deserve to eat normal, after all, aren't I going through all this other stuff?

I think we are indeed the BTSTAG!

Funny but Almonds and Hazelnuts make my throat itchy.

Who was the most interesting person you talked with over the holidays?

Hi all, Yeah, it has been a while.... !

I am facing shoulder surgery in a couple of weeks and now am buckling down to loose a few lbs before I am brought to a stand still with a sling.

I hope all of you had a very merry Christmas and are looking at a bright and shiny new year!!

Tammy: pulling for you girl! I hope yesterday was one of those "better than expected" moments!

Jasmine: Wow, what a blessing you are to your parents! You are doing the hard but right thing...hang in there!

Connie: Sorry your friends took your illness personally. Seems like they reacted selfishly (How does this affect me?) instead of selflessly (how does this affect Connie?). I hope they see the error of their ways!

I have about hit the wall at school: Musical was last night...soooo much effort...such a late night...then back at it today. Ugh. Trying to wring some worthwhile work out of kids that have started the summer shutdown already...sigh.

So...I am running away. Really. My hubby is giving a speech next week and I, being the supporting wife that I am, thought I should go along and help him....in Paris...for a week!So I guess I had better stop whining about school!!!Foot in mouth

Take care all!!

Hello all!

Happy day after Mother's Day to all!

I am back from two trips, one fun and one WORK! So of course I am up 3 lbs again...those STUPID 3 lb! back and forth...be GONE already!

Life has been ...well... stretching. I feel S..t..r..e..t..c..h..e..d out between parents, kids and my school duties. Thank the dear Lord for my hubby, he has been keeping me sane.

Blessings to all...more from me later...

Hello all!

You can blame/thank Connie for my reappearance! What a wonderful nag she is! Wink

I have just been so caught up in an unending swirl of chaos, I kinda let it get to me a bit.

It will take me a little while to get caught up...Welcome to all who have found this fab bunch during my absence!!

I have started working on the 6 or 7 lbs that I have put back on...I take my class to Catalina in May: nothing like the thought of trying to squeeze any extra lbs into a wet suit to get me motivated!

Well, thanks Connie for reminding me of my dear friends here!

"See" you soon!

It is a shock, I know.

Yes, I am still alive!

And now am humbly on my knees asking forgiveness for a two month hiatus.

please?

I am not even sure why I did it, I just got busy, and then started feeling like it was going to take too big an effort to reconnect....no excuse at all! so...

Will you take me back?

Oh Lucy, I wish you all the best now too, and you sound like you are doing so well! I love you attitude...amen! You need to treat yourself (your Mom would have wanted you too!) and work through the memories, I hope when my mom goes I am as well balanced...

Thinking of everyone else too...

Many blessings, Alylou
