Hi dear all especially shana . I am an ex schooner from lilygirls time. I am back on this site after a long break. WAs really happy to see that Schmoozer is back. I know this round is closed however I could do witha a bit of motivation so I decided just to post in just for my record. I will surely keep in touch to be able to join in the next one. I am currently in one of my hhighest ever weights and thus feel desperate for some mottivation. WEight today is 216 lbs.

Weigh in this morning 203.2lbs .  Went much lower last week but this week was complete chaos.  However damage done was not extremely bad.  I ready to continue.

At moment I am reading Life is Hard, Food is Easy, and author suggests that whenever we feel angry or stressed etc, we tend to get a craving for something particular that is textury and needs munching like we have to take out our anger on the food.  Author suggests that we do a list of what we can opt for as stress releivers, so when we get these sudden cravings we firstly understand that they are stress and not real hunger and go and do these items instead of eat.

So my list is the following:

Go and punch a pillow until I feel better

Take a drawer or cupboard which needs clearing and spend time clearing it.

If hubby is at home to take care of kids, I will go jog around the block.

 

I suggest that each one of you does a similar list and post it.

Eager to hear your suggestions.

I found that a tea with sweetener helps me lower a bit my cravings for sugar.  And the trick is to eat less refined carbohydrates cos the more you eat the more you crave.

Yes Pamela I did my shredding yesterday.  I almost did not because I was too sore but then something inside made me try it out and I managed to finish it all.   I was so proud of myself afterwards.

Hi pamela,

Yes I am going to commit myself for doing the 30 day shred.  It is good to have a partner for doing it. I will start as from today.  I will let you know how I am doing.  Last time I did it the first 2 days were awful cause I was aching all over and waddling like a duck.  HaHa,  let us start waddling!!!

Don't beat yourself cause you ate badly on Friday and Sat. At least you have not gone up this week.  that is already a lot.  Had you not been eating healthy for the rest of the week you would have gone up.   I know it is frustrating but today is a fresh day.  Eat healthy today.  Think about it a slight increase of calorie, it can boost up a bit your metabolism once in a while.

Weigh in today:  204.4lbs.  

Yesterday I had a lower figure I saw 203.5lbs , but sometimes there are mirages in life.Wink  I am sure I will soon see it again.!

Meghan even I love it when I have my hair cut it gives you such a boost of positive energy.

Lilygirl I was really happy to see your post.  Even I need you here.  You are such an inspiration!!  Together we will do it.

WEEK 1

Dear all, I will be posting the weighins of all of us this evening.  I will go through all the postings and write the ones that I find.  It does not matter the day when you weighin, I will write the last weighin posted of the week, since everyone has different weighin days.

I enjoyed reading the posts.  I also love Zumba.  I don't have the WI version but I have the ZUMBA videos and sometimes use them.   I also have the Gillian Michael's 30 day shred which I think is very good.  I think it is about time that I started it again actually.  It is just 20 minutes everyday but of very very good exercise.

Yesterday, I did something for myself.  I went to do a waxing.  HAHAHAHa!!  Since during winter I do not bother to go for waxing cause under the thick clothes everything is hidden, and now spring is back, I decided to go and have my extra layer taken off.   You, know, I actually felt really better afterwards.

Therefore, I am going to ask each and every one of you to think of something that you would like to do just for yourselves during this week, and post it.  And obviously try to find time to do it during this week.

I am really excited to see that there quite a few who are joining in. I will try that by Sunday I will post all the names and weights of those joining in.

I also have the tendency to weigh in every day, even though this tends to make me nervous because there are too many fluctuations from one day to the next.  However we will just post in our weighin once a week on this forum.

for the last three days I have been extraordinarily good, ate up to 1300 cals, always got an A from CC and was just off in a couple of items in analysis, basically the potassium which I have not clue how to be able to go more than 2500 even when you eat a lot of veggies.  The only thing I have not managed to start again is exercising, but I promise to try today.

Did not keep in touch with CC for quite some time and was not logging anything.  But last week, I tried going into a pair of pants and they could not close.  I was frantic.  So I decided to start seriously agian.   In fact I found I had actually gone up to 188.8.   But this week with a lot of effort I have already lost 4 pnds, most of it probably just water retention. 

I am really wishing for spring to come soon.    I miss the sun!!! I feel so depressed without it.

A little about myself: at 27 I have been struggling with my weight my entire life - fat kid from a fat family who's life revolves around food - we've all heard it too often....

Anyways, last year I decided I didn't like it anymore and I quickly lost about 40 lbs (all time fattest: 235) my summer was crazy busy and lbs came flying back on. I was then holding steady at 210 until Christmas-ish 

Well I'm ready to kick it into high gear again and drop lower than before and refuse to put ANY back on this time!

Some shmooze ideas (namely things I'd be curious to know how others deal with) (1) your go to work-out when you can't get to the gym (2) dealing with late night cravings (3) faster than ordering-in dinner ideas (4) what's in your breakfast smoothie? (5) how do you reward yourself? 

This group is set to end the week of my birthday - - looking forward to celebrating a thinner healthier me with everyone :D

Hi herbaltea, welcome aboard!!  

1) Through the journals of many of my CC friends, I learned that you can easily do good workouts from home.  There a lot who work out using the WII fit, there are loads who have aerobic videos and many who use their treadmill.   Last year there were a group  of us who joined together and were doing together the 30 Day Shred and for me it really helped.  (it was laura-kelly who had motivated all of us to try it out)

2) I cant help much because I tend to eat late and so don't have those cravings.  They normally happen during the afternoon which is a killer time for me.   I have learnt to stop eating cookies and take a light yogurt and two cups of sweetened tea to cut out my craving for something sweet.

WEEK 1:Hi I'm Amanda.  I'm 37 yrs old and a working mum of 3 kids.  I've been on CC for almost 2 years.  I found the Schmoozers group around September 09 and it was a godsend.  Before I used CC just to see the cals of certain food, but with Schmoozers it meant having someone to be accountable for.  Moreover it is a real excellent source of motivation with fantastic friends.   Last year I had lost weight down to almost 170 pnds.  However slowly I started gaining it slowly, and even more rapidly once I completely stopped logging what I was eating and stopped logging on CC.  However I am here to start a fresh page again.  Lastly one of the things that my CC friends have really motivated me in is to start exercising regularly.  Before to put in exercise once  a week was a miracle.  Now I am convinced and proved it to myself that exercising at least 3 times a week (and more if possible) helps you loose and maintain.

Hi everyone!!  I have during the last weeks slipped quite badly out of the wagon.  It has been ages since the last time I posted something and taken things seriously, and it is showing on my weight.  I gained about 6 or 7 pdns, (lost the count), and I have noticed that another round of S&L has started.  LILY sorry I am late, but if you are ready to take me on, I am more than happy to start again.   I was happy to catch on a bit on the posts and was happy to see most of my old friends.  Was really happy to see some who have made noteable improvements.  Three cheers for teesha and also for kandermom.

Time seems to be flying.  I cant' find time to just sit down and log.  So here is my weight as it was last Saturday.   I am slightly down but still not being the best of girls.  I am still eating higher than I should and not slacking on the exercise.  I just wish I find some courage and motivation to get really back on track.  But on the positive side, I am at least not increasing.

Hi all, 

Another session due!!!Last session , I can't say I did my best.  I just maintained, or just.  There were times where I was really motivated and was doing my best, but there were others where I was binging like hell.  and this yo-yoing have led me to no loss.  I really have to do my best this time!!!!
