Weight Loss Feeling grumpy and Im ready to quit !!!!!! Jan 31 2008

Oh yeah, PMS time for me is SO HARD!!!!  I keep a 75% cocoa dark chocolate bar around and have a square or two with a small glass of red wine during this time.  I think it keeps me sane.

I also agree with PP, are you eating enough?  I don't want you to go hungry, dear!

Greetings!

I'd like to join you gals, if that's alright with you.

My name is Amberly, I'm 28, though 29 is rapidly creeping upon me!  I've been on Calorie Count on and off for quite some time.  I need it yet again, to get ready for the summer.  Though, I must admit, with all this rain it feels like summer will never come again!

I'm 5'5ish (ok not quite, but almost!) and I currently weigh 138.  I feel best when I'm 125, so I'd like to get back there.  Then stay there!

Can't wait to get to know you~

It's true, at least for me.  I definitely gain a few lbs of water during TTOM.  Don't let it bother you.  Like others have said, you may just want to back away from the scale during that time.  Limit your salt intake and drink lots of water.  I love the PMS tea I got at the health food store, it makes me feel better.  HTH

First of all, do yourself a favor and get rid of that pound cake!  You are making my mouth water.  tee hee!

I know what you mean about reaching for carbs, it's always what I'm digging through the cupboards looking for.  Chips, crackers, you name it!

I think the banana is a great idea.  I might even add a small cup of warm milk; it's filling, full of protein and helps lull you back to sleep.

Weight Loss Your Food Grades Jan 23 2008

I think for the food to get an A, it has to be high in nutrients and low in fat and calories.  That's why FF ice cream and what not gets bad grades.  There's little nutrient value.  I use it as a guide, like a PP said, but definitely not as a be all end all food choice making tool.

Wild salmon is heart healthier than farmed.  Did you get a farmed version?

Not only is every cut of every brand different, but every sigle pair of pants are different.  This sometimes occurs because the branded company doesn't actually make the clothes (there are a few exceptions, I know) but send the fabrics out to different factories around the world.  So some of it is human err.

The only thing that matters is how you feel in your clothes.  Ignore the label.

Oh yeah, and Cosmo also tells you how to spend all of your hard earned money on trying to look like their models.  Buy this beauty cream and you'll get that guy in your bed.  tee hee.  Cosmo.  Oh they places they'll go.

Macafiend,

I am in the same boat.  I can do really really well all day long, but when I get home on the couch with my man we begin eating total junk.  I like the idea of logging every bite I eat.  Perhaps when I see the number add up, it will boost my will power.

the sun is shining and birds are chirping.  The ones with the bright yellow bellies are dashing around in my backyard.  My backyard is a construction zone, it's been great to watch BF build a gorgeous fence to contain our new puppy.  Life, as they say, is good.

Thanks for all of the responses, I really appreciate it.  I'm really loooking forward to picking her up.  I have to wait until Sunday at noon.  I don't know how i"m going to wait that long!  I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.  I got the book, Cesars Way.  It's a  great read full of fantastic advice.  BF and I both plan of taking her to work with us fairly often, to socialize her, and to keep her from getting bored at home.  AND, I'll have a great running partner!  I have her enrolled in "puppy kindergarten!"  How cute is that?  I can't wait... Thanks again

The owner was laughing?  Are you kidding me?  How horrific!  I supposed I need to learn what to do just in case something like that happens.  Fortunately, I'm not a jackass.  There's a pit here in town that also has a jackass for an owner.  He wants the dog to be scary and intimidating.  Jerk-o
