My name is Melissa and I'm 25 years old. I live near Montreal with my boyfriend that I'm with for 8 years now. My first language is French.

To make a story short, I've always been a bit overweight or borderline healthy. I think my lowest weight after 18 years old was 130 which is not bad but for someone that is 5' 0.5". I wasn't happy with my body but I accepted it since I never knew what it was to be thin and knew nothing about calories. I was active, I was walking a lot and using my bike. I played soccer every summer. But the house was full of chips, ice cream, cookies, etc.. My father was and still is a big fan of those things. His health shows how bad eating those every day do to your health and I don't want take that path.

I started to gain weight when I started my studies after high school. After all my studies, 6 years later, I weighted 180 which is consider obese at my height. I started to have problems. So I change my lifestyle. Not much exercise but eating healthier and watching my portions. My weight dropped at 142 and I was so happy, I felt good at Christmas and people were amazed. I gained a little, around 10 pounds and I didn't wanted to gain all back so in February 2007 I started to be more active and eat clean.

I eat much healthier for 4 years now. Everything is whole wheat or whole grain. Fruits, veggies, lean meats, fish. I take time to eat it so it seems that I had a lot more that I though. I eat as unprocessed as possible.

Since February 12th 2007, I lost 6cm to my waist and same number to my tights. I'm happy that I'm finally doing something to improve my health and my mind. I think it's the best gift you can give to yourself.

Edit March: I've lost quite some centimeters since the beginning. 7.5cm from my belly, 6.5cm from my hips and 7cm from my waist. Today I wore an outfit that I haven't wore for a year and it's lose on me! I like it but my pants keep falling off! I almost lost a size pants.

Edit April: since last month, I lost 5cm to my bust, 4cm to my waist, 3.5cm from belly, 2.5cm from hips, 1cm from thights and 0.5cm to my calves.

Edit May: I lost 2 more cm to my bust, 1 from arm, 2 from waist, 3.5 from belly, 2 from hips and 3.5 from thights.

Edit July: Didn't lost as weight but lost some little inches, mostly from my belly, FINALLY!!!


Edit October: I lost weight since my last update in July. Actually, I lose less weight but it's showing a lot more in my clothes. Now 5 pounds less means almost a size down. It cost a lot of money since I need nice clothes at work so I change quite often but it's worth it and I can afford it. In a sense, I like it since I almost always have new clothes :)

I don't exercise as often but I consider myself active. I do a lot more in the house and I like it. It much easier now to manage my weight. I have no bad cravings at all for quite some time now. I make good choices and eat almost 90% clean meaning no food already prepared. I enjoy my lifestyle and feel very good about myself! I like my weight now but I would like to go a bit lower to feel a bit more comfortable.

Hips - Starting 107.5cm - Now 95cm - Lost 12.5cm
Thight - Starting 62.5 - Now 51cm - Lost 11.5cm
Calf - Starting 35.5cm - Now 31cm - Lost 4.5cm
