I like the heavy metal stuff with a beat that I can run to.
Seeings how I'm not that good of a runner, I have to take breaks. So, I'll walk for the verse, run for the chorus, walk for the verse, run for the chorus/breakdown, etc.

I started eating at or around my maintenance level and gained a little weight initially, but I've kept at around 195 for a couple of months. And believe it of not, I look thinner at 195 than I did 190. I think that it was mostly because my body was holding on to every little calories it got, and I was bloated.
Plus, I built some muscle! I can do an actual push-up! First time in my life I've ever been able to do an ACTUAL(No knees!) push-up. |

Thanks guys! cutiedida, believe it or not, when I lost my period my BMI was 27(I'm 195, 5'10, and have a VERY large frame, so the BMI thing really isn't accurate.)

| Young Calorie Counters | Rant about sizing, body image, and negative jerky people. | May 09 2010 13:05 (UTC) |

Nice rant!
I'm as guilty as the next hormonal teenage girl. I have poor self-esteem. I'm insecure. I obsess over my weight, the size of my pants(Which are a 10-12!), how well I look in a certain article of clothing. Which is what ultimately lead to my eating disorder. But I'm learning that being healthy doesn't mean being thin. It means eating right, exercising, and being happy with who you are. |

I've learned through work(I'm a waitress) that guys in their 20s and 30s totally dig curves. (At least most of them do!) Me, I'm 16, 5'10 194 and very curvy.. Besides, women are MEANT to have curves! If we didn't, we'd all be dudes with high voices! So, on a final note, embrace your curves! |

Dude, I'm having the same problem! I'm going through the same stuff.. Calorie counting is seriously interfering with my life. The other night I chose to count my calories and what not over hanging out with my family. Honestly, it's one of my WORST habits. But yesterday, I only logged my breakfast, which is huge for me! Today, I'm going to let my body tell me what it's hungry for.
I know it's hard, but you'll eventually let go of it. |

Sweet! Sounds awesome! Height: 5'10 Current weight:194/196(I'm not sure because I've been lifting weights like crazy, so I think the fluctuation is from muscle gain) Goal weight: 185 Ultimate goal weight: 175
I currently eat around 2300-2600 calories a day. And on the days I'm active for just under an hour, the calculator says I should eat around 2700 calories to maintain my weight.. So, would 2000-2200 be a good amount to lose weight on? (My cardio consists of walking briskly for 35-40 minutes like 4-5 times a week and jumping on our trampoline. Strength training is like 3 times a week.) |

| Young Calorie Counters | is it normal to be bloated when increasing calorie intake? | Apr 03 2010 23:41 (UTC) |

Dude, I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I had to up my calories because I wasn't getting enough of them. It took me about 2-3 weeks for the bloating to go away. Just make sure you're drinking enough water. |

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
