Well I used to be super fit when I was in between the ages of 13 and 20. I used to be able to go on 50 mile mountain bike rides every other day and I climbed about a hundred mountains, 2000 feet and over. I remember when I climbed Ben Nevis I found it easy, so much so I was able to jog down. I once went camping in Keswick in the lake district, the hard thing about that was I went on my bike. 140 mile in one day.

After that it all went wrong. I started going out drinking too often, eating too much and not doing any exercise. This made me depressed which made me comfort eat, so it just got worse and worse. I went from a super fit person with a mighty fine six pack to a 17.5  stone (245 lbs) porker in about 5 years. Not good and most defiantly not healthy!!

About a year and a half ago I decided enough was enough! So I went on a diet. Things went very slowly, but I did lose weight, little by little. But it just wasn't fast enough so I started to exercise. I started doing just a little jogging, 20 minutes ever so often. I then slowly built it up and eventually was jogging 5 miles every other day. The weight just fell off!!

Now I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week for a good 2 to 3 hour session, I'm back to been quite fit, not super fit but getting there. My weight is now 180 lbs and I'm still losing it. Not bad in a year & a half.
