I have even made a quinoa pudding, similar to rice pudding and it has gotten rave reviews....i use unsweetened vanilla almond milk as as the base and then whatever sweetner you want

i make a veggie stuffed pepper with it instead of rice....i also use it in with chili and sometimes just as a side dish cooked with veggie broth or chicken broth, i use kitchen basic broth the low sodium....

Congrats on your decision,I made my decision 3 years ago in January(i picked after holidays)I am 5'2" and was 158 pounds and 43 years old, I bought a wii and wii fit board and started a light aerobics work out with that and upped it ever so often and i just changed my diet to healthier foods ....more fruits and veggies , than fats  or carbs in a meal and it fills you up....I didn't call it a diet , i called it a lifestyle change... I never had a goal about how much to lose , i just saw each week i was losing and got excited so it kept me going... I lost 50 pounds and it has been off for almost 2 1/2 years now... I am maintaining  and so far so good...i still have a treat everyday, you shouldn't deprive yourself all together , thats when you have set backs.... good luck!!!!

p.s. I bought the wii and board instead of going to Gym ... I knew i would not have an excuse not to work out if it was at home.... I live in Maine and I would have said "it's snowing i'll go tomorrow" and so on and so forth...and I still work out on it a couple days a week....

congrats!, i lost 50 ish pounds 3 years ago and since have been maintaining , so i am hopeful you will be saying the same thing 3 years from now ,so hopefully in 3 more years i can still say the same thing....i plan on keeping it off. we are all in this together...

quinoa is my favorite, but have many , greek yogurt,all veggies,arctic zero ice creams, flatout wraps, eggehites, turkey bacon...etc..it is really never ending ;)

well I switched to greek yogurt about 2years ago, and now I can't eat regular yogurt to watery for me...but it is only i who eats it, my hubby can't stand yogurt now that my son has bought his own house , he buys his own yogurt, he also is a greek yogurt fan...it fills me up better and i don't feel so hungry later, but it is expensive but alot of stores have their own brand greek now which is slightly cheaper...plus look for coupons online or in paper...

i had a hysterectomy also when i was 41 , started my weight loss journey when 42 and now at 45(next month) maintaining now lost 50 pounds and yes the belly is always the hardest but when i finally arrived at my goal, hardly any there now and still not after 3 years , hoping to stay that way forever now.... Good luck!!!

my husband asked me this morning to remind him to start working out on the wii again...he said his regular stuff he does in the morning isn't doing it...he says he needs more cardio routine...I do it 3-5 times a week now since maintaining....

when i first started my weight loss journey 3  1/2 years ago, i weighed myself everyday , sometimes 2 times a day....but as a few months passed it was 2-3 times a week , now since maintaining for almost 3 years now, i weigh my self after the weekend on monday morning and the again friday morning before the weekend , just to see now during summer months with barbques how much i gain on average or lose during a weekend,the winter won't be as bad....

i got the wii fit 3 and half years ago and have been working out on it almost every day since i got it...i lost almost 50 pounds by doing the step and other aerobics on it ,that was with 6 months of starting it and 3 years later still keeping it off  and working out..love the wii

my fingers got thinner, all my rings started to slide off , i had to get them all resizedespecially my wedding and engagement ring finer was alot o smaller they had to resize them 2 sizes smaller

i make  pita pizzas all the time never the same kind i experiment with all veggies and cheeses and sauces....I make a hot buffalo chicken one with feta cheese,I make all veggie with fire roasted tomatoes, I also make one that is just a little drizzle of olive oil and chopped garlic with mozzerella  as the base and put whatever on top you like, I also have made mexican one with cumin and chili powder and frefried beans , but i make my own refried beans ...just mash pinto beans in a pan while cooking and add spices then spread on pita and add onion , shredded chicken whatever....

i eat quinoa all the time, i even made some for my sister in law and her family cause she has celiac disease...the kids who range from 5-10 LOOOVed it....i use it as a sub for little pasta like cous-cous and rice in many dishes , i also add lots of chopped veggies to it as a side dish, you can also eat it for breakfast like oatmeal add a little cinnamon and fruit , it is very versatile....there are plenty of recipes for it and even the cooking channels have started making it  on some shows....

I make an easy dip or spread with plain greek yogurt and chipotles with adobo, you can put in as much or less of chipotles depending on how you like the spice...,i have also sauteed onions til carmel color and put it is plain greek yogurt as an onion dip, plus you can make just a dill dip with fresh dill...the ways to use the yogurt is pretty much endless...

I love that you said "oh no I'm not".... I never want to go back to where i was , I have now kept off my 48 pounds for 2 years now....I am in mid 40s and I heard the same thing about age and all that, but i believe that if you are in the right mindset you can do it...good luck!

I lost 45 pounds by using the wi ifit and the active wii video,plus i wii bowl and golf ...that also works well for exercise...
