I had a colicky baby... I say focus on surviving. Count your calories, it doesn't matter if its snacking all day.
Really your son will be proud of his mom if she is proud of herself no matter what your weight, don't be so hard on yourself. Find a new pediatrician too who will give reflux meds, we had colic for 7 Months before I found a doctor who would accept that we had a problem! I slept many nights no more than 3-4 hours total with no more than 1 hour at a stretch, it was miserable. Now we laugh and tell him what an awful baby he was :) |

Good for you!
My advice...I have had a slow 3 year weightloss up to this point but I am maintaining where as before I would yo-yo. 1). Make small changes, if u just gave up pop, work on that for a few weeks, then work on eating a healthier breakfast...etc. 2). Do not give Up! No one is perfect and no one deserves being healthy more than you! One bad day or one bad hour doesn't ruin a diet! Nor does even a week! Giving up ruins a healthier lifestyle! 3) be honest with yourself, keep track of what u eat even if its bad or way above your calories...and then follow #2...life happens sometime u can't log everything! |

No wheat doesn't make you gain weight.
As a person with a wheat/gluten problem I gained weight when I stopped eating it, which is typical. When you stop eating wheat you are probAbly eating less processed foods, less carbs and less salt, hence your weight loss. |

Your pulse was probably that number....that has nothing to do with your metabolism.
How many calories are you eating? If you don't know then you need to keep track. |

I have basically the same thing...I would go get your thyroid checked.
Someone on this forum last week suggested that I drop calories, because I had been basically maintaining my weight (with a slight gain, about 6lbs) since July! For over 6 months! I used to eat 1770-2000, depending on my workout that day. My BMR is supposedly 1680. The last week and a half or so I have ate between 1580-1800....and I finally I am down a 1lb this week!!!! So I don't know...my guess is the math wasn't working for me anymore, that maybe my bmr is lower than the calculator suggests. I should say I was able to lose 1lb in 23 days before making this calorie change...that was through highly increased excersize. |

| Weight Loss | Gluten Free is Expensive!!! | Feb 01 2013 11:42 (UTC) |

I am gluten and dairy free as well for over a year gluten free.
It was more expensive at first because you have to relearn to shop...but It's not that much more expensive once u get good at it. Marinara, most classico brand will state if they are gluten free or not. They are normal price I get a 3 pack for about $7 at sam's! The way to keep it inexpensive is to NOT buy gluten substitutions often. GF bread is a treat not a daily meal. I eat a rice and quinoa...and I do have corn pasta, but those grain based meals are like once a week, as well as a once a week Chebe pizza I make at home...the rest is mainly veggies, meat and chili or soup. Also, once u find something u like...generally it's cheaper to get it through amazon. I have Chebe pizza mix (Of all gluten things..I crave pizza the most!!!), leepers rice pasta, GF flour plus more all coming from Amazon. |

| Oxford...this is my 3rd year of losing weight though. I am not new to this process but I have been on a platuea since July. I have tried stopping CPU ring calories, more excersize, no excersize. Now I upped my excersize in an attempt since Jan 3rd...23 days in and I have lost maybe 1lb...as of this morning it was only 0.8lbs. | |||

Yeah my TSH was normal. I checked myself because I think my Dr isn't the best. I saw my obgyn again this year and she didn't see any reason to retest.
I do have food allergies to gluten and lactose. I don't eat either anymore. |

Your 3 months postpartum...how are you going to rebuild your abdominal muscles if you don't do something that works them!? You should be aware of using good form...check yourself for distasis.
Also, you can run outside now (I started last January in below freezing and snow!)....just go slow, and not that far. I started at 1/4 mile...and built up slowly. Stop making excuses! |

There is only calories in vs. calories out. Whether you do that entire through calorie counting through the food you eat, or in combination with excersize, or through excersize deficit alone.
No detox...is going to magically shed 10lbs of toxins from your body.
If you diet you will fail. If you decide to be healthier and calorie count, making choices about how much food you eat to balance with how much of a deficit you need to lose weight, you will succeed and not yo-yo back and forth with your weight. This I have learned, and wish I had learned it 10 years sooner when I didn't weigh as much to start with. 1lb = 3500 calories of deficit.
The good things in life are hard, and not easy to come by. We have to work for the things we want. |
