you have to understand, YOU are more attractive now...not just your body, but YOU are...this is VERY typical.

you were not feeling great about yourself before, and it came through, THAT HAS WAY more to do with his attraction to you than your jean size.

listen, your negative attitude/self image is what got you fat to begin with (i'm the same, btw so don't take it personally!) so what i'm telling you is DO NOT sink back into these patterns of negativity (that is what this is, btw, a PATTERN of negative thinking). just let it go, and enjoy the sex!

ok HEAR ME OUT. i have to back out of this challenge.

1) i have been laid off and i need to focus on securing other employment

2) this is stressing me out and losing weight isn't my top priority right now (even though i still want to, the fact i HAVE to for 'my team' just is added stress i can't manage right now)

3) i can't ever figure out quickly, where to log or what to log...it's not a design flaw of the creators of the challenge, it's design limitations of the CC system, and it is frustrating (it took me 30 min last time to figure out where, how and when to do my logging...)

i wish you all the best and i'm sorry to let you down!!!  now to figure out where the Blue team forum is, and post this there TOO...

this could be the starting symptoms of an anxiety disorder. it sounds suspiciously familiar to my story when i was younger, and lead to 15 yrs of on/off again bulemia.

the cure for me was about 10 years of therapy, along with drug therapy.

i take lexapro and buspar. it works for me.

good luck dear -

My favorite meal ever:

- Spaghetti Squash

- Salmon

- Roasted Garlic Brussels Sprouts

- Raw Spinach

 sounds DELICOUS!!

my fav right now (nutrition/taste/calories):

  • 4-6oz grilled salmon or chicken breast with spices (which vary from cury to simple dill and everything in between and really satisfies my need for 'change')
  • 2 cups baby organic greens, mushrooms, red onion, cucs, celery salad tossed with exactly 1tbs trader joe's fat free balsamic vineagrette OR honey mustard
  • 2 cups steamed green non-starch veggies (asparagus, broccoli) with squirts of "i can't believe it's not butter" spray and some coarse sea salt and pepper
  • 6oz red wine (dry)

it'll plant you between 400-600 calories depending on the type and portion of the protein and how accurately you measure your wine ;)

What is your routine?  I am trying to get in the habit of bringing my lunch to work everyday but I realize that I am going to have to plan ahead because I know that there is no way I will be packing my lunch at 5:00 in the morning.

So I am interested in everyone's routine? Do you make your lunch at night? Do you plan your meals each week? Are they already made & sitting in your refrigerator? I would love to get some ideas!

i keep it MASSIVELY simple. i eat EVERY DAY the same lunch, it keeps me from obsessing about food, spending too much time and money on the whole idea. i save all that for dinner where i can afford some good fun calories and more variety with my family.

1/2 cup cottage cheese measured out

1 fruit (this can be varied) or 1/2 banana (they have lots of calories)

6 walnut halves (these are loaded with nutritional value but also some good fiber and fat that keep me full till the end of the workday)

i also INDULGE in Teavana teas all day...they are so satisfying, they smell wonderful and curb my appetite. no sweetener (which oddly just makes me hungrier).

when i'm on my way home, i have 1 more fruit to hold me over till dinner is prepared and prevent me from snacking during the diner making process.

calories consumed during workday - somewhere around 300.

Weight Loss Am I losing weight too fast? Jan 09 2010

Hi all!

Just wanted to check, some people have been saying that you should only lose 1-3lbs a week. However, im five for five, iv lost 5lbs in 5 days and I cant see that changing because of the way I am dieting.

I have drastically altered my diet, from a typical xmas junk to barely anything but veg and a small portion of meat at the end of the day. Im barely hungry and I manage to eat a lot for a 1700 calorie diet.

This is fairly typical for when I lose weight, I drop pretty rapidly, but have never stopped to consider if that is right. Im currently at 217lbs, which is only 28lbs over my ideal wieght, so not massively obese or anything.

Should I increase my calorie limit?

Nick

unfortunately the first week, is mostly water retention weight. one of the bonueses in my opinion, because it makes us feel GREAT to lose weight so fast...but trust me, after the first week, this will level off.

i've heard people that are significantly over weight shed these 'mystery pounds' for a lot longer than the first week, even for months...but if you are mildly over weight you should start to see about half lb a day instead of 1 lb a day after a short while.

i just lost my mystery lbs...7lbs in 6 days - my holiday binging lead to significant bloat, now i can be assured of a .5lb a day just like i saw last summer with my low calorie diet.

I like non-fat cottage cheese with some crushed pineapple and walnuts.  Yummy and satisfying!

my FAV - but i eat this for lunch...also if you substitute blueberries or other berries, you really cut down on the calories, pineapple is loaded!

for BFAST i always do a single piece of whole wheat toast, with spritzed on 'i can't believe it's not butter' spray (no calories!!), and coffee with 1 tsp cream/stevia, and half a grapefruit.

2x per week i add an overeasy egg (straight from my chickens)

i read The Good Earth, it was fantastic and definitely deserved the Nobel Peace Prize it won.

i am currently reading "White Queen" by Philippa Greggory and i CAN NOT put it down.

another few i'd highly recommend along these historical fiction lines:

"The Poisonwood Bible" (try and put it down)

"Aztec" (takes a while to get used to how to pronounce things in your head, but well worth it)
