Maybe I''m terribly wrong, but I don't even own a scale. I only weigh when I go to the doctor. I can tell by my clothes when I'm up or down in weight. Mostly I just stay the same. It's rather sad. Even when I'm trying very hard, eating the right foods, exercising, and such my weight has only fluctuated 10 to 20 lbs over the past ten years. I lose those pounds then gain back. It also contributes to my giving up many times as it seems nothing really changes enough. My previous job I walked 20000 steps or more a day, lifted heavy items, ran from corner to corner over 25,000 sq ft and was mindful of what I ate yet I didn't lose only stayed the same. Now I make fewer steps at my present job, have only 5,000 sq. ft. to cover, and I've gained a few lbs. I had dropped. I'm so glad you guys are motivated and am hoping reading your positive results will help me move forward. |

Hi, I been away from CC for over a year now. I was doing good at entering my food, watching what I ate and cutting way way down on sugar. Then well meaning friends insisted on a birthday breakfast that lingered into lunch and sugary laden snacks that knocked me off the wagon and started my year + binge. My doctors appointments for aches and pains all conclude with lose weight. So according to all doctors losing 100 pounds will take away my aching joints, sleep apnea, snoring, and any other pain I might have. I still haven't restarted the food journals. Don't know why I'm so resistant. I don't like being overweight. I don't like not wearing the style clothes I love, I don't like not feeling happy, I don't like that I have become so lazy. I'll try to get back to the food journals and check in with you. From all I've read you do not have to completely give up chocolate. Get semi-sweet chocolate chips or ones with 60% coca. The serving size for the small chips is about 30 chips. If you eat them one at a time, not a handful, they can be quite satisfying for cutting a craving. I was doing that before I went on my binge. I need to get back to it. A serving a day helped me feel like I had a treat and cut back the sugar. So post a note to remind me to be food aware, and I'll try to work on this process with you. Maybe we'll both win our battles. |

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. Guess I was just too tired and out of focus when I looked the other night.
