Today's weigh in was 129.8.  that's down .4 from yesterday.  I feel like I'm finally sticking to my calories, and seeing some loss.  I just can't help but feel like it's just water weight and it's gonna keep jumping around between 129-131.  I've not lost hardly any weight since I've started, so I'm trying to really pay attention to calories now.  I just feel like I'll never lose.

Why has this gone on for 3 pages?  The OP said that she didn't care who she offended.  You can no more change her opinion than you can change someone with ED's eating habits.

So fine, here's my tidbits and I'm off my soapbox.

I understand the OP's frustration, however if you want to say something with no counterarguements then post it as a journal entry, just to get it off your chest.  All this post did was instigate an unneccessary, angry arguement.

I also understand those who were offended by this.  For me CC is supposed to be kind of a safe haven where I can ask questions and get advice without the same judgements I receive from the outside world.

So what now?  If you see a post you don't like and decide to comment, leave it at that, a comment.  Better yet, just pass it by.  Let the moderators do the job.

If you want to be a help to those with an ED, go and do that.  Be a help to them, this particular thread is no help to anyone.

I now walk away from my soapbox with no intent to return.

One last thing:  OP, if this was not meant for those with a serious ED, only those seeking attention why did you title it the way you did?  I now consider this a malicious attack against all forms of ED, real, fake, treated, untreated.  You pulled them all in, some ready for the attack, some thinking they were about to get help for what the struggle with only to be attacked and insulted.

So as I suspected, I weighed in at 130.2 which is a 1.2 gain.  I'm sure alot of it is water weight, so I'm gonna down lots of water today to see if I can flush it out.

Hey all.  I didn't do too good tracking calories today, and it was made worse by the fact that we went out to dinner.  Got home and the house smelled AWFUL!  There'a apparently something wrong with the sewage and my house literally smells like crap.  I told my hubby there is NO way I was eating at home tonight.  So that turned my originally planned meal of 230 calories into... well, alot more...  However, I did opt out of ice cream out for dessert for my low cal sugar free ice cream at home, and now that I'm home and my house still stinks, I don't even want to eat that.  Dinner probably did a number on tomorrow's weigh in, so I expect a gain.

Hey, don't have long to post.  Thanks for the encouragement about my treats.  I do try to include them in my overall calories for the day, but yesterday was off I'm sure.  Anyhow, I did get a run in and today I am down to 129.0, so that's a 1.0 loss from yesterday.  I'm taking my kids and nieces (4 kids altogether!) to a coffee place near us that doubles as a giant playground.  You drink coffee, they play, win-win.  So I plan to have just a coffee and a cookie or something small, and then I found the nearest Wendy's which offers the most filling, lesser caloric items of any fast food restaurant.  Then I'm trying another recipe from this site this evening.  Anyhow, I'm thrilled!

Buuuhhhh!  I thought I posted my weight this morning!  I'm down to 130.0 so I lost .4!  Yay!  Did NOT think that was possible.  I didn't get to exercise as I was not feeling well, but am gonna be going for a run today.  I did bad and had ice cream today.  A friend of mine told me that a local fast food restaurant had my favorite thing they've ever had, but they haven't had it in years, so I got all excited.  Turns out they didn't have that but I was already in the "cheat zone" so I ended up getting ice cream anyhow.  Will I ever get control of myself???

Ok, I have about .2 seconds to post!  I didn't get to exercise yesterday, but kept the water going.  So today............. I weighed in at 130.0!  That's a .4 lb loss!  I'll try to post more later but after 2 days of losses in a row I'm feeling a tad more confident.

I do the same thing Satyrswoman!  I even exhale to get the air out of my lungs!  Lol, just kidding about that last part...  I do NOT want to weigh in tomorrow.  I did so good today then blew it on a huge piece of chocolate cake.  Grrrr.  Here's hoping I can do some sort of damage control after church tonight and get a workout going.

So now what?  I did so good today, and even added the pizza I will be having for dinner tonight before everything else to arrange my calories right.  Then in a moment of sweet craving weakness I got a big piece of chocolate cake.  I came to my senses enough to eat only some, but have since finished the piece!!!  Weigh in is gonna suck tomorrow.

Oh, and my keyboard is hardly working!  This is just NOT my day!

If you consume decent amounts of caffeine (4 or 5 cups of coffee, double that if you drink black tea, double it again if you drink green tea - depending on brand and brewed strength), then yes it can make you wee more but it isn't one-in one-out.

People would end up pruned!

 My thoughts exactly!  Eek!

Satyrswoman: yeah we've got lots of gnat traps around, haven't gotten much yet.

fruit doesn't really make me feel like it's a sweet, but I'll treat myself to a toffee drop like werthers or something if I really need a fix.

I figured out that the lightheadedness was dehydration and am proud to say that yesterday I met my goal of staying under calories, as well as getting in 8 cups of water, and a 25 minute run!

Ivaslah: I hope you're daughter's better and I agree that it's great you maintained and worked out while having a sick kid at home.  I can hardly do that with well kids!

Oh, and on the sodium combating sodium, I've just been informed by a nurse friend that YES, it does combat it! something about cells releasing, and stuff attaching, and peeing.  That's what I got out of it, but most of all, the answer is yes!  May be why I made sure I got my water down yesterday!

Weight today was 130.4 which is down .4 from yesterday.  Hoping tomorrow takes me down about the same at least!

Ingrid, I agree that you look great in both dresses!  You look great period!  But I think I like the teal one best!

I went for a 25 minute run yesterday, and made it the whole way without stopping!  Unthinkable 3 months ago!  I did good staying under my calories and getting in all of my water yesterday.  Here's hoping I can do it again today!

I completely agree with getthinsteve.  Water should not be thought of as a diet tool as much as a requirement for healthy living.  The idea that it helps you lose weight is in the fact that it's calorie/sodium/fat free, and the more you drink the more full you fill and less prone to snacking.  Also, if you're properly hydrated, your body is running properly.  You have more energy, clarity in thinking, good digestion and bowel movements, and the better you feel the more likely you'll get out and exercise.  I tried running 20 minutes dehydrated a while back and felt like I was about to die.  I felt like I couldn't breathe and was about to pass out at any minute.  When I was properly hydrated I did 25 minutes of running no problem.  I think as long as what you're drinking isn't caffienated (as I sip a diet dr pepper...) or alcoholic, it counts towards water consumption, though if it's not water, it'll add to your calorie count for the day.

Thanks for all the positives everyone.  It really was good to see what can happens when you stick with it.  Today is a better day, I'm under my calorie limit and have already downed 7 glasses of water, and will soon be going for a run.

I'm so glad that my idea is going to help someone else!  You have no idea how foolish I felt separating them out!!!

So do ya'll ever have problems getting in all your calories for the day?  I did soooo good today that after I ate my dinner, I was only at like 900 calories!  I ate cereal for breakfast, indulged in a few cookies, had 2 servings of black bean and corn chili (recipe courtesy of this site and it was yum!) no added sugar ice cream, then 1 serving of pita mexican pizza (also from this site, also yum!).  I ended up eating another pizza (230 cals) and will have a yogurt or something this evening.  Plus I'm about to go for a run (may rethink the extra pita pizza!).  Oh, and I managed to get about 7 glasses of water in today!  Go me!

Simignonne, I feel the same about what the Bible says about drinking, it's very clear on drunkenness, but drinking in and of itself it doesn't really say anything about.

Gretamarie: I'm sure you can make your goal.  My lowest weight post kids was 118.  I had some toning to do at that point but was feeling pretty good about myself.  At that time my youngest was about 9 or 10 months old.  So I know I can do it, it's just a matter of doing it!

Rennai: Wait til baby comes out!  You'll really feel thin the first time you look in the mirror!

Kori: I struggle with binging too.  It's really hard, but I agree that if you aren't so restrictive to allow yourself a treat.  I'm a sucker for ice cream, so I like to get sugar free ice cream, and now that I've gotten used to it, I enjoy and look forward to it.  I make sure to only get the 1/2 cup though.  I'm actually gonna go buy more measuring cups to keep around so I never have the excuse that my measuring cup is dirty.  I think you do whatever you have to do to stay on track.  They say that for us binge eaters that we aren't satisfied until the package is empty.  I agree with that so much that I bought a package of cookies today, then separated them out into their serving sizes of 4 cookies for 150 calories and put them in their own baggies.  It would be much more damaging to my pride if I were to open up a second package than to nibble on a few extras out of the whole box.  Make sense?

I've been having a really poor time with energy lately.  I have no energy to do ANYTHING!  I'm hoping it's just a matter of dehydration, so I'm taking in more water.

Welcome Puffleson!!!

Sorry to see you go Eeyore, but for sure do what's good for you.

I'm at 130.8 this a.m.  I'm considering this a new day, a new start, and am pleased that after the way I've been eating the last few days my weight isn't higher.  My goal for today is to just stay within 1400 calories.

Simignonne: it's funny you say you thought you couldn't drink if you're married, I want to drink occassionally but my husband won't let me.  We're Christians and while I don't think drinking is wrong, he does, so he won't let me.  I hate it.  I just want the freedom to relax and hang out with my friends but he won't even let me go out with them if there's a possibility they'll be drinking and I don't want to go behind his back to drink.

Dmartineau1: So glad you enjoyed Zumba!!!  I've been doing it for over a year and love it, but the only problem is that my Zumba teacher only teaches in my middle of nowhere area once a week.  The next closest class that I could do either at a time without my kids, or that has childcare is about 45 minutes away.  Grrrr...  The funny thing is that my Zumba teacher was pregnant last year and literally did Zumba up until she delivered.  Then she was back after 2 months of having her baby and I was like, "this sucks, she looks like that after 2 months, and I look like this 2 years after having a baby!"

I've been doing very badly lately.  I chalk it up to our drought in Texas and the heat.  It's drained me of energy and has also brought on a cricket infestation at our house!  Ick!  There are stinkin crickets everywhere.  I don't even want to eat here I'm so disgusted so I've been eating out alot.  I'm calling an exterminator tomorrow, then hopefully I can get back on track.
