I'm flabbergasted reading your post. Instead of worrying about him being heartless and cold, think about what made you so needy and willing to let someone use you so badly. He didn't just become this way. He is and was this way. You just didn't notice especially not after letting him move in after 6 months. PLEASE be more careful with your heart and dollars. You're lucky. He left you relatively unscathed. Get better.

Best thing about election season is precinct walking. You'll lose weight walking and be supporting a cause or candidate that matters to you.

I make stir fry and just measure and place in ziplock bags. I eat it cold, warm or room temperature. Sometimes I just dont have a micro available so i need food that's adapable. I include quinoa or a bit of some grain with my stir fry. It's delicious!

The l/s version is really not very low in sodium. It is only if you compare it to the original. Nonetheless, I also drink it because it really helps me with getting to my potasseum goal. Btw paprika and cayenne pepper add Vitamin A. And carrots.

It's not PC to say so, but many people who are fat are unhappy, angry and have other problems to address. The weight is just a manifestation of this. For me, frequently looking for short cuts, in many areas, shows up through an unwillingness to exercise as much as I should. I'd rather see how little I can get away with not eating to avoid moving. It's pathetic. I'm really impressed with your story, commitment, dedication, and accomplishment. This is one endeavor that you can't cheat, lie, or hide from. If you're really doing the work, it shows. Btw, congrats on doing the therapy. So many men just won't go and seek help. I always say Everyone should go see a therapist at some point in their lives, preferably before 40. A good one will help you transform your life. Continued success to you, sir! :)

Fruits and vegetables are carbohydrates. So, if you're eating a lot of them, that's what your pie chart will look like. I'd be worried if too much of that segment is bread, pasta, rice, packaged foods. Those are not the best carb choices.
Foods Probably a stupid question, but why add oil to salads? May 23 2012

Vinegar with olive oil, with added herbs and spices is the best tasting and healthiest thing you can put on your salad. Also helps with digestion.

I don't weigh myself. I Did last week though and was outraged at the number. A pair of pants that I've never been able to wear b/c I didn't try them on and assumed they were my size now fit. Also, I'm focused on my functional fitness level, which I never previously thought about. I can run for the train now without breaking out in a Sweat or my heart pounding away. I like the idea of once a month weigh ins. That's what I'll do, too.

You might consider cutting back on all the grains, particularly those containing wheat. So many supposed healthy multi grain products ate just processed foods with sugar and chemicals. Good luck.

It's all about personal standards. Some people don't want to commit the time and effort to be on top of things. When you've got weight to lose there's no such thing as moderation or life happens. If so, you'll be in your local emergency room with a heart attack or looking for yet another shirt to hide your gut. Been there.
