Bio

I am 19 years old and live in Southern California. As I'm sure you can imagine, living in the most superficial area makes having a healthy body image pretty difficult. Until I was 16 I played softball every day and I've always been a pretty healthy eater. I was a perfect weight for my age and height and had no problems with how I looked. When I turned 16, I stopped playing softball and exercising regularly. I was eating worse than I ever had and gained 40 pounds in a little over a year. Suddenly I was faced with lovehandles and huge thighs and butt as a result of letting myself go after building so much muscle over the years. I joined Weight Watchers for a while and lost 15 pounds, which I have managed to keep off since I stopped about 3 years ago. I joined Calorie Count at the beginning of this year and I lost weight but unfortunately could not keep it off as I felt like I was starving myself. I restarted again in August of 2009 with the hopes of losing 10% of my body weight by December and getting back into shape!

My goals:

Reach first mini goal (7.2 pounds!) by Thanksgiving.

Get at least 30-45 min of exercise at least 3 times a week.

Tone muscles and problem areas back into shape.

Limit added sugars and saturated fats in my diet.

Interests 7: baseball, cooking/baking, reading, running, sports in general!, tennis, writing
