| Weight Loss | lost my period...:( | Jan 13 2012 16:59 (UTC) |

If you only started your period last September, I really wouldn't be too concerned. If a month from now you still don't have one, then I'd say to see a doctor. For both of the first two years of mine I didn't have my period for 3 months. I wasn't dieting, underweight, or overexercising, I just wasn't regular yet. For the first few years it's not uncommon for your period to be irregular. So don't worry too much! It's probably not anything serious(: |

because you can’t have your special kibble or because you think you still look too fat in a bathing suit Well I think that quote made a lot more sense in context. The kibble bit just makes me think off kitties. :D |

@sunnysideups - I think the point was more of a warning to people not to become "starving, self-obsessed, narcissistic, compulsive around food, [or to begin] avoiding social occasions because you can’t have your special kibble or because you think you still look too fat in a bathing suit." Trying to become healthier and more fit is one thing, but attempting to fit into the unrealistic ideals of many people can lead to unhealthy behavior we should be cautious of. By the way, I thought it was a great read. :) |

Sometimes I actually love wearing my less... attractive clothes. If you always put a lot of effort into your appearance, sometimes you might want to take a day off from caring so much. Last week I decided I was tired of trying so hard to look good when I lately I hadn't been getting a second look from people anyway. I just went to school in sweatpants and a tee, with only foundation and mascara on. I felt amazing when I realized that nobody was treating me any differently. Of course I still wasn't getting compliments all over the place, but I wasn't before either! lol Oh, except my one friend said I looked like a girl off a "fresh-faced" commercial, but she's a flatterer(: ETA: I also like to donate my clothes to the Salvation Army! Makes me feel good |

I can totally agree with you on the salad thing. At first I just felt like a rabbit. Then I added some dressing and felt like that would be all I could taste for the rest of my life. After enough trips to restaurants (when I ended up getting a salad to try and seem daintier before my BBQ ribs got to the table), I actually don't mind them as much if the dressing is lightly used. =) |

My weight is always a surprise. It can be pretty difficult to figure out if I'm going in the right direction when I'm trying to lose back a few extra pounds. When I hit about 140 that's always my wake-up call that my bad eating habits are catching up with me, as I usually hover fairly happily around 134. Then in about two weeks dieting I drop down to 137 or so. Back up to 139 shortly after due to water weight. I can get down to 133 usually after TTOM. Oh! And a few weeks ago I was expecting a gain; I weighed in at 128. Uh... definitely not right. Same scale in the same place as always. Anybody else have these confusing ultra-lows?? :P Now I'm back to that 139 state. :) |

I'm not sure what it used to look like or if it changed, but there should be a star above the title of the food you are trying to log. Click that to add it to your favorites. :) |

Hahahaha!! Just made my day. :) But I think I'd rather have... very small boobs if I was rather skinny, but if I was larger framed by nature I would rather have huge boobs. Overweight but a small/medium frame, then I'd pick very small. More motivation to lose!! |

Just got Kinect for my sweet sixteen yesterday and, gotta say, I look pretty ridiculous sometimes, (when I don't practice first:D) but it's just so addicting!! It definitely has the game aspect down which motivates me a lot more than regular workouts. I feel like I haaaave to get five stars! lol But it also has "workout mode" on the song difficulty selection screen, where you can enter your weight and it can tell you how many calories you've burned! I'm just so impressed with the system. I feel like I'm from the future when I use it. (: |

First and foremost, congratulations!!!:) Maybe you could take a look here for help with necklines: http://www.whatsuitsyou.co.uk/Articles/Broad_ Shoulders.php But I actually do think halters have the potential to be really pretty on broader shoulders if the straps are a good thickness! Positioning of the strap is important too. Woah, I really watch a lot of Say Yes to the Dress :D haha |

| Weight Loss | not losing inches ..please help me.. | Jan 12 2011 16:51 (UTC) |

Typically people measure at the narrowest part of the waist. For some that may be the naval line, but at least for me it is a few inches higher. So I suggest re-measuring to see if that gives you a more favorable number(: Also, upping your calorie intake may help if you still want to lose weight after you measure again. With 45 minutes of exercise, it's possible you're not eating quite enough and your metabolism has slowed down, as 1200 calories is the bare minimum for a woman to be eating. As for exercise, not exactly my strong-suit so I'll let someone else on CC handle that one:D |

I'm 5' 9.5" and my measurements are 36-26-38. I'm about 138, and while I wouldn't mind losing about 5 lbs and toning my hip area, I'm pretty happy where I'm at weight-wise, and I just want to become healthier overall. As a side note, while I was measuring myself I decided to use an online bra size calculator, and it said I'm a 32D?! =P But I don't think I look anything like other people who wear D cups... What about after I have kids? |

| Weight Loss | Random--Ladies, does it ever freak you out when a guys wants to pick you up? (Like lift you off the floor) | Dec 22 2010 20:50 (UTC) |

I always thought it was just me!!! lmao! Just a couple weeks ago a guy tried to hoist me up to the next level on the bleachers... I tried to tell him not to, but he seemed really offended that I thought he was weak or something. I felt bad and let him try. He actually lifted me up there!=) I think a big part of it for me is that most of my friends - at least the flirty, bubbly ones who guys attempt to pick up - are fairly short, and the ones that aren't are super skinny. My guy friends will always pick them up when they hug them, and it makes me super jealous! I'm 140 and fairly tall, so although I'm not overweight technically, I always just feel so much bigger than my friends! But I have to say that the first time I can really remember a guy friend picking me up when we hugged, it was a great feeling! I finally thought, maybe it's not my size after all and is really only my self-conscious attitude. |
