I gained a lot of weight last fall/winter after I went into a depression and my doctor changed my medications. Now, I'm finally trying to take the weight off. At my highest point I was 191 (I'm 5'7), but then I reduced my intake a bit and my weight dropped very rapidly to 181, and I was at that weight when I started back on calorie-count (I was here last summer too). My current weight as I'm writing this is 169 (4-19-08). My goal weight is 125 by December 1.

I'm currently writing a memoir which I am very intent on getting published. One of the things that has motivated me to lose weight is that I want to be in shape for my book tour, and television appearances if I'm lucky. I realize that this is probably quite a ways off, but the more time I have to get in shape the better.

On April 20 I'm moving off to Santa Barbara for several months, where I'll be involved in a special program and I won't be able to count calories, in fact I won't even have internet access for the first three weeks. Opportunites to exercise will be limited. I'm going to try hard to continue losing weight in this environment.
