Hi, weighing in early because I'll be gone tomorrow...

No loss this week, but I think it's ok because of my big loss last week.

I'm leaving for Santa Barbara, California today and I'll be there for several months, but I won't have internet access for at least the first three weeks, but I still want to be part of this group.

But at any rate, while the concept is disgusting I don't think we have any reason to be disgusted by this because I'm pretty sure this is fake. And while it seems like a really strange creative fiction project, there's obviously something about it that I just fail to grasp, and I probably wouldn't understand unless the girl were to actually explain it to me.

I don't think it should be illegal for this girl to do that with her body, but she is definitely abusing her freedoms.

Well disease, I'd be upset by this if it were real and I'm pro-choice. I don't view the fetus as fully a person but I don't view it as fully not a person either, it's sort of in a gray area. Abortion is a touchy subject because it's so personal and involves a woman's body and the body is sacred. So while I think abortion should be legal, I still think it's a serious issue and not something to be taken lightly.

I hope this doesn't turn into a debate about abortion now.

Basically, you should lift as much weight as you can. Basic rule of thumb I use is if you can do more than ten reps without resting with a certain weight, it's time to increase the weight.

While free weights tend to be better, the machines work too. When I do weights I use dumbbells for biceps but machines for the rest (except the abs, I use floor exercises for those). You can do the machines without having a spotter.

Mine would definitely be to not let yourself go hungry, don't cut back too drastically. If you feel deprived all the time, then your weight loss efforts will fail. You need a weight loss plan that you can live with.

Don't fret over just one pound. I personally weigh myself every day, but fluctuation is inevitable, so I don't freak out if I'm up a pound since yesterday. Especially since with my lifestyle now I know that there is no possible way I could be gaining fat.

Without even touching on the ethics... The whole project doesn't sound like art, and is in very poor taste. She saves a bunch of her blood, and then she has video of her experiencing miscarriages? That's so... I don't even know what to say.

I think this website is ok for teens, the only problem I see is that a lot of the teens on here don't even need to lose weight.

I've struggled with my weight since I was very young, in fact I've been concerned about my weight every since the first grade no I'm not exaggerating. I think it's better for teens to come to a website like this that promotes healthy weight loss, where there's a lot of information about weight loss. I remember when I was 14 I tried to lose weight but I didn't really know anything about weight loss, so I thought if I was hungry all the time that meant I was doing something right. I failed, fell flat on my face and spiraled down into a depression.

You need to eat something with protein for breakfast, waffles and toast won't cut it.

Can you DRINK stuff with wetness? If so, you could try a protein shake.

I'm not saying "wish you were here" isn't a good song, but it's really melancholy. Listening to it makes me so depressed.

As for my all time favorite song, I have to say Money for Nothing by Dire Straits. I just really love that song for some reason. Another good song is Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve.

I get a decent amount of fat in my diet (around 25% of my cals). I don't get them from the healthiest sources, however. I'm not a big fan of red meat, but I really like those meal replacement bars, and those are generally not low in fat, and most of the fat in them is saturated. However, I heard that saturated fat, much like sodium, is only bad if you're sensitive to it. I don't think I'm sensitive to it, so I don't really worry too much about it.

However, I do avoid the trans fats. You always have to read the ingredients list to look for hydrogenated oils, just because it says 0 trans fat doesn't mean it's trans fat free, it just means it has less than 1 gram of trans fat, and any amount of trans fat is bad. I started doing this, and I discovered that my lean pockets have trans fat. I'm not buying those anymore.

I can't imagine anyone eating 5,000 calories worth of those foods period.

Personally I don't buy into the negative calorie ****, I mean it's believable that something disgusting like celery would be negative calories but fruits I don't believe... I've seen those negative calorie lists before and they basically list almost every single fruit (not quite but they list most of them) and if fruits were actually negative calorie then we wouldn't have developed such a taste for them. Our ancestors developed a taste for fruits because they provided quick energy. So speaking in terms of evolution, it just doesn't make sense.

As for the veggies, I doubt they're actually negative calorie but it really doesn't make a difference either way, since they hardly have any calories to begin with, and if they are negative calories then the extra calories they burn would probably be like 2.

I'm always motivated to go to the gym, whether or not I've lost weight. It doesn't really matter what the numbers on the scale say each day (whether or not I've lost a pound) because I know I'm steadily losing fat and weight fluctuates, and I feel motivated to keep up that steady fat loss.

I don't think the OP is creepy at all for being concerned about this. I'm 21 which is close to 19 and I would never do something like that. Of course, maybe things are different in his family... Or maybe there's something really amazing about the swimsuit... But the swimsuit thing paired with the "hot" comment is cause for concern, though I don't think the OP should actually say anything to her husband about it, unless something even stranger happens.
