my mini-biography (oOohh the horror)

Hello all. my name's cristina and i'm trying to Lose weight, obviously. i was born in the philippines and i moved to the US when i was about 5 1/2. as a child i was skinny but i guess Lots of people on this thing were skinny as a child. anyways the longer i was in america the more weight i gained. i didn't mind it too much cause i was always an athletic person. i LOVE sports, playing or participating, which was great cause i loved food as well. but about 2 years ago i broke my ankLe (2 out of 3 places) and had to get surgery. 1 plate and 9 screws later i was a walking ding (that's how i refer to me dinging every time i walk through a metal detector). anyways i couldn't play sports like i used to and i was, at the very least, devastated. i had to recover a bit after my surgery last march (in 2006). this was my second operation (long story about my body rejecting the things they put in my ankle). Now i can proudly say that i'm back at a 100% well maybe 90% but that's beside the point. now i'm just a girl trying to shed the pounds that i gained after my surgery. all (nearly) 40 pounds of it.
