Sometimes people feel guilty about their habits and try to encourage or pressure others to join just to make themselves feel better. I hate when some one pressures me into eating or drinking something and then acts like i am the one with a problem, or spoiling their fun when i refuse, people need to live their own lives a but if it drives your mom to be mean and not want to include you i think something is wrong, she is acting very childish. U need to have a talk with her about it.

Yes i agree, we should focus on that and this poster needs help Asap but just telling someone they look terrible is like kicking a down dog, eds are awful and we must conquer them but just to write you must look terrible, she did not ask how she looked, though she must have body dis morphia, i did and never saw my frail skeletal body either, yes she most likely looks sick unhealthy and such but just saying you look terrible is not helpful, it makes people mistakenly believe that anorexia is all about looks, while i know for a fact most anorexics are actually hiding and are ashamed. Ok not most but alot

What your 39kg??? How is that possible? How much have you lost? Totally jealous!!! You should take a break for sure. I'm 54 and over Xmas I only break for 3 days. I gain a bit but all year I work out and eat healthy six days a week How'd you get to 39??

wow,  some one is jealous and wants advice on how to be 39 kilos,  that is sends danger flags all over the place for me with this poster.  I would NEVER ever tak advice from this person now

you cannot eat whatever you want as long as its apples or grapefruit.  The problem with true binge eater are its more emotional than just "oh this food tastes good i think i will eat it all and more."

u need to identify why you binge.  thats the only way to solve it 

you say you have calories to spare, well maybe your not eating proper through the whole day,  many people get stuck in that cycle because they eat so little for breakfast and lunch, scared that they will binge at night,  but you are only setting yourself up to binge

what advise is this.....

 white bread and pasta (all of which are addictive, so you'll start craving them more and more)

I think it is bad advice for a growing boy who is way too concerned with his diet.

I see halloween has a history of eating disorders.  I just want to say when i had anorexia i would go weeks sleeping only 1 hr a night,  it corrected itself after i got back to a healthy weight.

as for 8.5.  I usualy get 8.5 also  sleep ay 10:30 and up at 6:45 only problem that it causes is when my husband want to watch a late movie together or we go out on a weeknight.  then i kow i will be cranky

I was the opposite of these last too posters,  I was in such denial i was even sick,  i needed to be told I was sick, i was unhealthy, i looked awful i was acting crazy and driving my family husband and friends crazy with worry and anger about what i was refusing to face and correct,  so some people do need this tough love.

but more important this is a free open forum so we should be able to write what we wish

Stay away from her is my advice,  she sounds like a train wreak.  thats my two cents.

basicaly i think everything she is doing is ultimaly for attention,  some thing is going on with her though to make her seek all this attention, if you can be a good friend and really try and see her through some great big problems  go ahead and try to, but from the way you chat about her on here it seems like you dont actually care about her as a real friend.  Just ignore her,  I dont think that anorexia is rally her big problem its something else.

my experience with anarexics, including myself, family members and friends is that the worst cases (sadly) are the ones who hide the problems, wear huge clothes,  do not drink (too many calories) socially isolate themselves and do not  "brag" about how messed up they are,  for most people anorexia is very private and usually a painful process.  i think there are 2 groups of anorexics

I don't want to discourage you, and I am happy you want to recover but this raw vegan recovery plan is an Awful way to go, in my opinion and I think u will find most people unles u get a response from a PETA spokesperson. There is no no no reason to limit ur diet like this and I don't see how you will recover either mentally or physically this way. Buy next week or 10 days from now you need to be eating at least 3000 calories from all the food groups, how will u ever do it like this or want to do it like this. Healthy food is fine but u need to eat more real food, proteins carbs, hot meals, mental recovery and facing fear foods, learning to eat like A normal person is part of all that If u want to eat this way, I suggest eating your diet with 2 hand fully of nuts or 4 tablespoons of nut butters, along with those foods at each meal, as well as full fat yogurt Also u are very underweight please get professional help with this

I am a recovered anorexic who is 31, as long as I can remember my family has taught and supported Ed related things, until first my cousin was hospitalized for Ana and I nearly was. They have started to change. I don't blame my family but here is something's to be careful of Do not talk about how much u weigh in front of your kids Do not talk about how much exact fat and cals are in food Do not chew and spit Dont say I cannot believe how much I just ate. Don't encourage your children to eat from baby spoons or bowls so there food looks like its more Don't hide food from your family Don't self check yourself every chance you see a mirror Don't let your comments about other people be first about their size Don't tell them they should not be hungry, because they just ate. Do Do surround your house with healthy images of people of all sizes Do not let fat be a dirty word Do enjoy cooking food with your children Eat as a family Do keep fruit and Vegas and healthy fats available at all times

I feel really strongly about this!

I actually like the digged up posts cause i have been on here that long.  it lets me see how my ed started and progressed so i am able now to be more judgmental about myself (and other peoples) ed thoughts,  

if u read my posts from 2008 you would have thought i was this super confident,  i am not anorexic i just hate pizza  and love to work out 1.5 hrs every day... whats wrong with you people  aditude...  when i reality I was 100 lbs 5 ft 6 and sick,  but at that time no one was so much accusing you of ed s on this site they were just holding your hand and saying oh eat some cottage cheese and you will be fine,  and people were posting how jealous and proud they were of your weight,  you were still "allowed and not monitored" so closely to post in weight loss forumn and such.  

But this site has grown and now is BETTER,  we cn help catch people flirting with anorexia much better and try and stop it before they get as sick as i was.

I also think its a great post but i dont rally agree with the "eating popcorn bit" unless it is some inside joke i dont get cause i am not in the US,  we need to remember that these are  REAL PEOPLE  and its not just our entertainment

as for the quote about him marrying into an ED  thats  just another quote that makes me scared for these 2 posters.  

are you your ed? is there nothing more to you,  I am not Buddhist, maybe we return to this earth, but i prefer to work on the theory that this is our one life to live,  become more than your ED, get a life cause it goes way tooo fast.  

I was stuck in my Ed for about 5 years,  since recovering I feel great and my relationships with EVERYONE have improved greatly.  Sadly not sure if we can have kids after what I DID,  it is a disease but there are choices!

Why stop eating at 4,  i do some of my best eating after 4,  emmm afternoon cookies with fruit,  dinner,  and dessert,  there is noting that says u cannot eat after 4,  when i was in recovery and at a healthy weight i would still eat BP and jam sometime right before bed ,  cause i was hungry and knew i would been better the next day

wow thanks for this post as i wanted to reply to the other but it was locked

I second all that is said before.

I was lucky my husband stood by my side while i recovered alone,  no therapy , no ip.  other family in a dffrent country,  just him and i. and It sucked!

one REASON I pushed myself to recover was that his concern for me and my fear of a shortened life with him was so great i chose to put all the BS aside all the fears and do it, it took years but its DONE and i will not relapse,  

do you know at all what your families ae going through,  how many people were questioning my husband about WHY is was so nasty skinny!  its not a good place for him,  there is only so much love someone can give.

and to the YOU KNOW HOW MEN CAN BE comment is just quite strange to me,  i mean what the F is that about ,  why did you marry someone who you cannot be yourself around,  there are far more issues there than you just being over weight.

its a public forum is RIGHT, we can say what we like.

Why do u eat 1200 cals and initially going for cardio 2.5hours a day, you state no eating disorder, why do you eat so little, eat low fat, good to see you cutting down on the cardio, but think you do not have an eating disorder, people with a normal relationship with food or their bodies who do not diet, would not have these behaviors.

yes,  cause if you have any feeling that he cares about your weight on a first date than you know its a waste of your time... 

good girls, guys who are interesting, nice people you might want to date wouldNEVER make you feel uncomfortable about your weight on a date... or even in your relationship, unless they are helpful, really helpful.  sometimes you just need to push yourself to do something out of your comfort zone, if it is awful its only 2 hrs of your life and at least you tried!

i find that now only getting to a healthy weight i can eat foods not measured,  and what my mother in law prepares, and go out to eat with out panic attacks starting A week before,  honestly i prefer to make all my own foods still,  even after recovery and at bmi 20 i am not totally healed,  i am just saying some people who dont really get the total mental aspects of everything anorexia is might find this thread comptative.... I am not saying you and i am not saying any of the previous posters i am just saying it could happen 

and there are many other threds on this before actually, years ago.
