if your not too comfortable with him yet to bring up the issue make an excuse, i always use...oh you should have seen what i had for lunch, or cream sauces makes my skin break out...i dont know stuff like that, i know i annoy the hell out of my boyfriend when we go to a restaurant i make him give me at least a days notice so i can plan what i will eat, find gym time and such and i still might order soup and salad at the place, but i cannot even enter a restaurant with out knowing it will be like 1000cals.
and if you do trust him just tell him, but stress you dont mind how he eats , |

| hey, i went off my meds because i did not trust my doc anymore, we were supposed to meet and have an app, half way thrugh he said that he had to end our meeting because he accidentally overlapped appointments, we will reschedule for new meds and he never answered my messages, its like he or i fell off the face of the earth, i know another therapist he works with she says hes scattered sometimes and i am sure she would write me if something was wrong with him, but its been 2 weeks and he never got back to me knowing i ran out of meds, and this is interesting because he knows i stopped taking the previous meds because i was not in good communication with my other doc, em my dad, and its not like i did anything wrong, now i am really hurt by this and dont want to contact him again. so yesterday was bad still today, but i went for a long walk and a swim and felt better, a bit but ummm not to scare people or anything but honestly slightly suicidal so a bit scared. but i have other support if i need it, just scared right now, trying to be positive, its hard, | |||

ok well we all learned alot from this. avoid chinese or just really stress how you want your food cooked. i had no problem in china and did not find my food oily to eat, using the chopsticks really help and just dont spoon those yummy sauces all over the rice
the real problem is not that counting the cals is really the issue or even the taste, ya sure its going to taste good, but whats the point sometimes, you know this food will make ur body and mind unhappy best to stay away, pick a bit at the food though cause many people dont understand this and will think you might be suffering from an eating disorder or such. As for when other people pay, i will admit i am such a sucker for free food, i will eat untill i am sick....i just have to remind myself that this food will still exist tomorrow and its not the last time i will ever get a taste of it, but when its stuff you cannot get easy, thats a huge problem for me. |

| ok i dont eat cauliflower, i am afraid it will give me problems like broccoli. is this true or because its boiled so much it wont happen. anyone know , i keep seeing it on sale i wanted to buy it but i dont want to be gassy. | |||

| ya, i did not grow up in a cooking house hold i am having to learn all this stuff, also most of what i want to cook, cause its so much fun, mz boy wont eat....not chocolate and rich enough, so that leaves me with lots of left overs so i want to freeze them in small portions so i can take themout, and its great when something is frozen cause you dont just snack on it you really need to think if this is what you want cause you have to defrost it and not just stick it in your mouth, i am freezing cookies, everything. is this strange | |||

| so, i always eat a large carrot for lunch and dinner and often for snack too, i eat it after my meal, it gives me the snacking and crunch i need and allows time for my stomache to recognize the other food i ate and feel full, no one has ever told me i look ornange, i also eat oranges and sweet potatos, if this is true i would be glowing like a monster | |||

| there is a brand of ginger snaps in the health food section, i am still eating my christmas chocolates so i have not opened them yet, they say 130 cals for 5 cookies, but i have not seen the cookie, could be the size of a finger nail! | |||

| i like all veggies, but i get board with them, have you tried beets or sweet potatos they are a bit sweater and sauting vegs with a broth and a little cheese on top can really make them good too, | |||

| when i tried to loose weight i only ate what i liked. if you dont like cottage cz dont eat it its a waste then, eat some low fat spread on toast-vegs. try goat cheese, its low in calls too, never make yourself eat something you dont like cause it will never satisfie you | |||

| i am not even sure how tey do it in Europe all i know is that if i devide the kj they offer me on packaging by around 420 i get what the normal !cal count says! like the cookies i have at home 1400 cals for 4 cookies so its all about the math, makes you think more before stuffing your face, i think....then i eat the same thing anyway. | |||

| wow sounds fantastic, i live in a european city and i dont eat all these cakes and wonderful looking things becuase i akow what one can do tomy long term plan...so alow yourself one a day i think that sounds good have everything elase healthy. if you eat too much fat and sugar your body will not be happy with you, you could get sleepy, angry, all these things from changing your normal diet very radically, but do indulge a bit, wish i was you! | |||

lots of spinich beats roasted pealed and sliced tomatos cucumbers 1tsp walnuts 1tsp rasins (cheaper than crasins) rasp vinageret and toasted with goat or blue cheese i eat this almost every day now its just fantastic, right amount of sweet and crunchy, also sometimes if i can have the cals i put tahini on the top too but that makes it very earthy. yummm i go make it now...for breakfest! |

i posted on a site similar to this a while ago and i got ll these messagesabout my disoredered eating and how creaped out people were by my habits and now i see all these posts, makes me feel much better i like to eat everything off a sandwhich or pizza (rarely eat these because its too complicated) in an order of what is on top and that ing before i have a new one, eat every veggie any way but never squash yes for mus and ketchup on everything. toasted bread is best hate hate hate to eat if front of people wont eat pasta anymoe but i will eat a bowl of sauce with bread. i discovered pasta has no taste. i hide sweets all over my apartment and have them for several weeks before i eat them. |

| I come from a family like this as well, my mom, uncle, aunt, thier wives and husbands, girl cousin, boy cousin have eating disorders, some of them have been hospitilized, others keep it a secret and still a few of them are triathaltes to help have control as well, my father who lives alone now eats so so awful. it is really difficult to take, i came home for christmas and i am under weight everyone was worried and i am looking at them like.... could i have really snuck away from this terrible cycle, but i have Disordered eating as well, god its really so messed up. i am more scared for my younger cousins because atleast the rest of us know our eating habits are disturbed. i dont want them having the same problems. | |||

| i think anyone would advise anyone to seek a docs advice when going on a diet, and we will tell you that if your at 1200 cals your starving and going to loose muscle which is pointless anyway and i will tell you that i lost more weight when i allowed my self to eat around 1800 cals, i just lost it really slowly and changed my lifestyle which changes your life, works and is not really a diet at all. | |||

| dont be scared away by people thinking our food combos are strange, "meat goes with potatos and a side veg...thats it."no way, i think i lost weight by putting small portions of what i wanted on my plate even if they looked wierd next to each other or were in no way a traditional sence of eating. a great weight loss trick is to eat only what you actually like and not just what someone serves you. its why i prefer to prepare my own food and dont go out to eat so often. | |||
