i have a fabulous partner of 25 years and wonderful pets.  I have a lovely home on the North Wales coast.

  After giving up smoking 15 years ago I began to binge to fill in the gaps and due to a love of bread, chips and alcopops have managed to pile on 5 stones.

   My dieting career has been extensive and, overall unsuccessful, and rather than just an inconvenience and generally a bit of a joke, has now become seriously restrictive and not the slightest bit amusing.

This is going to be a good year, where I lose all the weight, get fit (just joined gym) and my dress sizes will drop away.

  I will need so much help and motivation though, which Is why I joined up here.

  i am also, a vegan (20 years), am adicted to crime fiction, play the clarinet a bit and have been completely blind for about 20 years.
