To youaremy drug

Sorry to hear that you finally had to do something so drastic that sent you into the hospital.

I know 3 lbs is a lot but not abnormal for you first week of dieting.  You should lose less weight this week so don't stress yet.   Slow and steady wins the race.  You will get there and that this is a lifestyle change this time for you.

I hope you can get your exercise program going as you will need to cut your calories less.   Canadian Winters can be bad but most cities have somewhere, mall, big box, retail store that you can walk laps in.   I know my sister works at Zellers and she knows that 4 times around is a mile.  A pedometer could work for you by measuring how many steps you take in a day, the goal 10,000 steps or close as you can get.

There are lots of exercise videos on youtube.com for nothing and you don't need to go outside to exercise.   water bottles make good light weights 1/2 lb. ea.  Get a small rubber mat to cushion your joints and go for it.  Is there anywhere in your home that you can make a small track for you??  if so put on some tunes and away you go.  Slow steps lead to big steps so start off slowly.  I've seen tension bands in the dollar stores in Canada for $2 ea. great for strengthening your arms and upper body.  Stairs are always great too up and down how many times now how many times in 3 mons. from now.

Measure yourself once a month and keep track of the inches lost.  When the scale doesn't move the inches do.  Remember to limit diet stress and be patient the weight will come off it has too.

I'm working on gettting a dog so that I will have to walk it daily.  Miss having a dog been at least 4 yrs..  I have to get my dvd's out tomorrow and get them playing.  Figured if I played them on the computer I would probably do it.  Got lots to do but have to find some time for me.  Cold again tomorrow -20C so probably not going to spend much time outside.  Need to move some furniture tomorrow and take back a heater that I bought.  Not sure why the scale hasn't moved but will just keep hoping it goes soon.  Will measure like usual at the end of the month.  Waited too long to try on some of my clothes already too small.  Need to find another large box to start loading more too big clothes into.

I have always eaten healthy meals it was the evening binge eating that kept me fat.  I can easily maintain this new lifestyle of mine.  That was the whole point of me doing this was to make a sustainable lifestyle.  I have decided to get into better shape I think that is able to do too.  I am just careful to watch what I eat and how much.  I still have pizza, chips anything I want but within portion control and calorie count per day.

Into my goal outfit but I wanted to slim down my upper arms so it looked better.   It didn't work both upper arms are 1/2 inch bigger than when I started.  Got more muscle but I will be wearing a little jacket over the dress to cover up the my still huge upper arms.  Okay next outfit a spring coat bought in Nov. on special will fit by spring here in April.  It fits now sort of but a little tighter than I would like it to be.

Hope everyone keeps this nasty cough away and if you are sick get better.  41 lbs down and weighing in tomorrow.  I hope to be 2 more lbs. down tomorrow.

Slow and easy wins the race.   I think it also helps with the baggy skin problems.  Glad that you have found a lifestyle easy to maintain and a goal that is obtainable.

Sorry to hear you are sick.  Hope you recover soon so you can get moving again.  It usually takes 5 to 10 days with the flu before it is gone.  Watch your calories and enjoy some chicken soup.

Okay so if you think you must diet.

You menu is all protein and there is no dairy or another source for calcium unless your soymilk is calcium enriched.   You have nothing with Vit C, might add it to your salad.   You will need all the luck you can get on this low carb diet.  That is what I see only at a quick glance.

I think a lot of the entries are being added that aren't right.  When you look up the same food there can be a big difference from what it says and the packaging.

Just remember not to have fish all the time if you are worried about mercury.

Fitness Are certain ellipticals better than others? Jan 19 2011

I know I tried a couple out and found some had too long a stride for me.   It felt like it was made to be used by someone taller than me and with longer legs.   It felt odd to use it and not the smooth rythimic stride other ones had.  No resistance or at least not the same will lessen the calories burned.

Maybe the staff at the gym can adjust the machine to better suit you.  I would mention that the elliptical is inferior to the one at your old gym.

You could start running and biking to add other exercises to your work out.

I sew medieval clothing for me and my family.  If I get time I make some items to sell.  I have a couple of sewing machines but find for the mass amount of fabric I sew that the cheapest machines sometimes can take a beating.

I have a janome 9000 too with every piece of junk you can buy for it.  I have a janome serger, not the best on the market but not too bad.

I have to travel to get good, cheap fabric.  I prefer natural fabrics so end up paying a little bit more.  Been going to Montreal to pickup my material while attending family events.  We save hundreds as we only have one fabric shop here that knows how to charge big time.

I bought all the fabric to do my daughter's wedding in 2013.  I promised her to make and embroidery napkins for her wedding.  I will be making all the tablecloths and center pieces.

I weigh myself when I remember, usually in the morning before showering.  Still the weighing in only happens about once a week.  I plateau easily so I don't worry too much about the scale.  I know I am not going overboard on my calories and I'm exercising up to 7x's a week.  The weight will come off whether I step on the scale or not.

I will make sure I weigh myself on mini goal days like my birthday in 3 weeks.  They are the only days that really count.

Pretty normal to plateau for a few days or sometimes longer.  Just keep it up as you know the scale has to move soon.  Take measurements it helps especially when you start putting on muscles and the scale crawls down.  Going to be a hard year for you but you can do it.  Will take the whole year but it is obtainable.  You should focus on mini-goals so that it doesn't seem so long to get a reward.  What would you like to be by Valentines Day??

The radio station here is running a Biggest loser contest for 8 weeks.  I'm going to apply to be a contestant.  It costs a $100 to particitpate but includes a boot camp, weigh-ins and other competitions.  Only 12 people are going to be picked and I hope to be one of them.  There is a $5,000 prize of cash and products, including a treadmill.  I'm rather competitive so a good motivation for me.

I think because I'm very competitive that this would be a great way to speed up my weight loss for a few weeks.

Sounds like everyone is back on track and setting new goals.  It is important to set mini-goals too that are obtainable.  Do not set yourself up for failure all the time make sure they are obtainable.  Then treat yourself to a new hairstyle, new clothes, movies, out with friends anything that doesn't focus on food.  Measuring is good if you plateau like me.  I still lose inches but sometimes the scale does not move like I would like it too.  Love target outfits they work for me as long as they are hung where I can see them everyday.   Who here puts a picture of themselves at their losest weight on the fridge door??  Well out to shovel the snow again my exercise program is doing good 8" of snow yesterday and a 90 minute workout.

I don't try to eliminate things from my diet just because they are not normally considered diet food.  I know as a diabetic I should be eating less carbs and the amount of crackers I ate was not within portion control.  I really didn't need the extra salt from the crackers either.

Sugar well that goes along with being a diabetic.

After getting terrible heal spurs that hurt like crazy I did some research. Found that if I reduced my dairy intake there was a good chance my heal spurs would disappear.  Since the shoe inserts did nothing for the pain it was worth a chance.  The heal spurs disappeared within 3 mons. and now I watch my diary so they don't come back.

I'm allergic to all vegetables grown in the ground and have to limit how many I eat or break out in hives.  The same allergy causes problems with chocolate, baking soda, canned food, legumes, some frozen food, some deodorants and a few other foods. I can only drink bottled water where I moved too.  I still try hard to reach a happy medium where I eat some but not enough to get sick. Still cheat or get an unexpected suprises sometimes.

If I delete food that causes me health problems I lose more weight.  Mostly because my food is not making me sick so I workout more.  Is this more what you were looking for where I have eliminated food that was preventing me from losing the weight.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
