My Weight Ticker

I am a 43 old male living in Canada. Today I work in health and safety, I am a Firefighter in my home town and I volunteer with St. John Ambulance.

In 2000, I weight just over 200 lbs. My son was 2 years old and I didn't want to be out of shape for him. I made the decision to do something about this extra wieght and be healthier for my son.

I found a great book, Burn the fat feed the muscle. I researched and put into practiced all that is taught in this book. I ate correctly and the right amounts, did cardio three times a week and weights 3 times a week. I dropped down to 145 and 9% body fat, I was buff.

I hurt my knee, stopped the cardio but continued the weights. Slowly I got bored and stopped the weights as well. I maintained my weight for a while then went back to my old eating habits, crap food.

Today I am 168 and almost 23% body fat. My pants were getting tight so I made the decision to get back to proper eating. I used to use the software Crosstrainer, really worked well for me. Then I found this site, not as complete as the software but a great site none the less.

The journey begins.
