| I think I am just scared it is full of hormones or something bc I seem to be very sensitive to them, plus even though twins are a wonderful blessing, I would hope for one :) | |||

Hi all!!
I am bumming lately about ttc #2!
I am 30 and at a normal weight and all, and we have a beautiful healthy 4 yr old.
We started ttc in June again and I expected it to take 2-3 months. It took us 3.5 months ttc w our 4 yr old.
Anyways after 4 full months of trying, I went to my doc last month and she suspected I may have stopped ovulating. This was crazy to me since I haven't used BC in 6 yrs, always have spot on cycles and had all the usual symptoms of ovulation. She did a day 24 blood draw( supposed to be day 21 but I was past that day). And it showed that my progesterone was lower than it should have been. My doc suggested clomid and said it should work asap, and if for some reason it didn't, she would check the tubes for debris. Basically the explanation she gave to me was that sometimes ovulation stops as we get older. I am only 30, so this seems crazy to me!!! Has anyone else had this happen?!? Anyone else take clomid and have great success?? |

| I took a test Fri and it was negative, but it was 6-7 days before TOM, and I have just not felt 'myself' the past week, so I guess I need to wait till the day of TOM to take another. | |||

5'3, 139, med-large bone structure :) Currently a comfy size 4.
Would love to be 130, but 135 puts me at a very loose size 4, which rocks too :-) |

| Jj-would his plan be healthy (within moderation) to follow pregnant? Any foods that he suggests that aren't safe? Just curious bc we are trying for number two :-). Its awesome his rules have worked so well for you though!!! | |||

| Hi! I have only read part 1 so far. Just started on Part 2. I have been trying to do the water before meals, and the berries and apples every day. I have also been keeping an eye on my fiber. Crazy, I thought I was doing ok w fiber, but now I have to amp it up even more to get to that 30-50 g a day :-). How are you doing w the rules? | |||

| Thank you all for the advice!! I really didn't think it was an emotional eating thing, I guess I was at least correct on that hehe. I will start a few new tricks and see how it works! | |||

| @kara, thanks, that was fantastic! I hope I can slowly get back to heading in the direction I was a month ago. It's crazy how 3 weeks of slacking just a little can throw everything off | |||

| I feel like most days I struggle to get enough fiber, iron, water and protein. I have been really trying to add more protein lately, but, the last couple weeks I find myself splurging on more if the bad. I am sure I probably don't get enough veggies in a day's time as well. I will try to continue putting olive oil on my salad and some lower calorie sweets in moderation. I just really want to get back on the horse and know I am the best me I can be, as cheesy as that sounds :-) | |||

True, doesn't hurt to get the bf% checked. I was getting it measured once a week last Oct-Jan on the Slim and Fit program. I had to hold a device and press my palms and thumbs on it for like 30 seconds or something. It wasn't a bad number but I don't remember exactly what it was.
I think I am stubborn and talk myself into things for that immediate gratification feeling, and if only I could reverse that!! It is really irritating when you realize your body is doing what it is supposed to but you are the one screwing up the process of what could be :-( |

Oh wow! Tons of good advice!!! Thanks everyone. I would say I probably have an average body fat %. I have always been able to carry weight decently bc of my frame. I have a larger bone frame, but am currently a size 4. That's pretty good, but my ultimate goal was 135. I was so close!!
Last night I made grilled chicken, quinoa and broccoli for dinner, and made one of the Hungry Girl coffee cakes in a mug for dessert 166 cals) and it was great!!! i felt full and not guilty! My stomach was growling like crazy at 930, so instead of pb mms or cereal, i grabbed two handful's of dry roasted peanuts :-). I figure protein is much better than choc before bed. I need to get to the point where i don't need any snacks before bed, but its a start back in the right direction.
I also like the idea of the frozen chocolate!! I am thinking about getting some dark chocolate pieces and keeping them in the freezer and see if that helps too!! |

I had eggs for breakfast, raspberries blackberries almonds and ww string cheese for snacks (not at the same time) and subway tuna for lunch, on wheat, no cheese or dressing.
It must be emotional. I have never thought I had an emotional tie to food due to stress or something, but maybe I do. I love reading about healthy weight loss (its so motivational) and maybe that is an emotional tie on the opposite end of the spectrum too hehe |

Good for you! I never drink my calories because I would rather have a cupcake or something on a special occasion. haha. I drink Starbucks 5 days a week and when I started drinking it, I would only get the Bold black coffee. My favorite is French Roast, but I also like their medium Pike Place too. I figured if I never had the bad stuff there, I would never crave it. :)
So far, it has worked! |
