my sweetpeas are already 3-4" tall. i'm also growing sugar snap peas and leaf lettuce in a pot on the balcony. next year (assuming i'm still in the same place) i'll expand further. but on a 5' x 14' balcony, there's only so much i can grow and still have room to read and grill and entertain.

and sadly, no, i won't be gardening nekkid :/

*puts binoculars behind back* Foiled!

and then, of course, there's the whole romance-novel-cover-model stigma ;)

I never found that to be a real problem. The stigma, I mean.

Dammit.  That was exactly where my brain went when I read this title.

I was all primed to read something deep and thought-provoking, with the intent of derailing it with that exact thing only to find that I've been thwarted preemptively.

Curses.....

Prematurely hijackulated?

From the time my daughter was a pre-teen until she was 17.5 I always told her "I only have to take care of you until the day you turn 18."

She gave me a run for my money BUT a few months before her 18th birthday she became a loving, respectful, hardworking, responsible daughter. Now she bends over backwards to do things for me.

I used to joke with my friends "My mom survived me. I'll be damned if I let her win." Hormones suck their brains right out of their heads.  :)

Whaaat, you make jewelry. You could branch out.

I would make you a necklace or earrings BUT I would use products/objects more widely acceptable by normal people. :P

if we weren't predictable most of the time, we wouldn't be able to form and maintain relationships and we wouldn't be able to surprise each other. there would be no laughter. predictability isn't a problem unless it's absolute.

My name is Buggy and I approve this message. :D

so predictable;)

Oh, yeah!  I forgot to mention that we also have the meat grinder and pasta roller attachments.  Oh, man, are THOSE godsends!

Ours is about 10+ years old, so I'm not sure which generation it is, but I'm guessing it's the "pro-sumer" grade.

And besides, big-n-bulky stand-mixer = core workout!

Mine was purchased by my late parents 50+ years ago. It was previously used so I have no idea how old it actually is. The only work done on it during these 50+ years is oil added and the 2 pole switch was changed.

The only one that stood up to cream cheese icing in the Shopping Bags show trial (Canadian product testing show) was the Kitchenaid.

I have made my Kitchenaid do ridiculous things, and with the recent reductions in pricing that I have been seeing, its 100% worth it. I made over 3000 cookies at Christmas with it and it didn't even blink an eye :)

I also have a hand mixer but that is for light jobs only.

Uhhh...we're not related.

I have a 20 quart Hobart mixer. Includes dough hook, whisk, paddle, pastry paddle, collar (to increase height of the bowl to hold more volume), bowl, grinder & 12 grinder plates for different coarseness. I have it on a wooden cart though it can be put on a counter top without too much difficulty.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
