its not even THAT healthy at all cause the ingredients do contain sugar. But we can't be perfect with everything we eat i suppose...... at least corn is a veggie.

I thought i was bad with half a pack a day. It was really starting to bug me that I was chewing so much gum.

Now I see that its a common thing and not a huge deal.

Also, I just did a bit of searching online...

and many similar articles.

I LOVE frozen fruits and veggies. Frozen fruit is a great summer snack, and frozen veggies... they make awesome stir fries, and sometimes I like to snack on them right out the bag, with some ketchup. :)

Oddly, since I cancelled my meal plan (I'm in college), I buy a lot canned and frozen vegetables, and I love frozen veggies about 10 times more. And, I actually crave fresh salads. Odd thing to crave, but yeah... if you gave me a pizza and a big bowl of fresh chopped veggies, I'd take the latter. But as of right now, my favorite snack is frozen broccoli with some spices tossed on dipped in ketchup. Yum.

(haha, that combo sounds weird)

I absolutely agree with everything you said here.

Love frozen veggies.... or fresh veggies with ketchup. Anything with ketchup.

And I crave those big fresh salads as well... Id rather have a huge big salad with BBQ sauce than a burger.

And some frozen fruits taste better than fresh in my opinion!!

Well it starts off with bread, and than its just out of the jar.... its not even completely enjoyable but i dont know why i do it? guess thats the binging compulsion.

and yeah the pb problem is common for lots of people.

i didnt know that jam was a common problem though :P

i think i might be that way with any remotely sweet condiment though... incl. ketchup except its less guilt...

Foods Baked Pastries - Unhealthiest food? Jun 30 2009

I am aware that its fine to eat foods with less nutritional value because you enjoy it, and I do it.

I am aware that there are healthier choices as well, and I also choose those.

However, what I AM curious about is whether people think those zero-nutritional pastries are worse or french fries.... or something else? What do you avoid the most/least consume

We don't have blueberry here in Canada!

I've only ever bought two boxes of miniwheats before.... maple sugar and strawberry.

Both boxes, I finished in less than 2 hours.

So, addict might be a bit of an understatement.

That's pretty judgemental of the lady who was working there. I would NOT be impressed if someone said that to me (but I'm pretty sensitive about weight/diet comments)

As for the sweet onion chicken teriyaki craving.... thats my favorite!! its not really that calorific for a meal....

Anyone know how many calories it is for a pizza sub? I can't seem to find it...

Santonacci - The menu had said the sauce was "tomato al fresco white wine sauce"
As for sending it back, I'm not sure I could do that: "i expected tomato marina and not tomato oil!" They'd probably tell me that's how italians make it :P

Leslazz - it probably was a true italian place, cause most of the pasta options on the menu were 'in an olive oil'. (which I had thought I was smart to avoid, but it probably ended up being the same)
Yeah I ended up paying around $30.... it was on the more expensive side cause it was under the 'seafood' section I suppose, with its five big shrimps.

Hmph, I even got charged for drinking hot water.

Thanks for your understanding guys!

I did try to just 'fish out the pasta' but it was really hard cause they were parpadelle - so it was basically coatedddd with it....
And it was rather bland as well....

I hope it was at least olive oil.... although it was kinda orangey oil, from the "tomato" I guess.

Silhouette 0+. I've never actually tried it, but I've seen commercials, and now I just quickly checked out the website. And yes, apparently it's 0% fat, and no added sugar or aspartame. I would check it out a bit more first, though.

 There's splenda/sucralose in Silhouette.

Hmmm I have to say I don't eat much red meat. I do eat a ton of white meat though -- for example, today, I ate about a pound of chicken breasts. Yikes, I know. But I buy the sliced chikcen breasts from the deli (its like 130 cals per 100g) and they just taste soo good I eat it all at once :\ wayy too much protein.

As for lean red meat - what about grilling sirloin steaks? I think they're pretty lean... or pork tenderloin.

if only they came in smaller individual packets!

Me too, I'm addicted to sugar.... in fruits (cause I go even more insane if its refined sugars, so I can't let myself start with those!)

for example for breakfast i had: 2 cups of milk, 1 cup of blueberries, 1 grapefruit, 1/2 banana and 3 dried persimmons (fruit.... yikes, 100 cals each! fruit triggers my sweet tooth too....) So I'm pretty sure I'm like 300% of my recommended sugar intake already and its only 9am for me!

I agree steamed chicken is probably your best bet. Next up would probably some seafood stirfry.

I can't find a chinese place that offers brown rice though!!!!! Do most places have brown rice when you ask for it, jenny?

I always wonder about the glaze/sauce..... its so shiny and gooey and thick. Now I know there must be a lot of oil in it..... but how much of it is oil? :S most of it? or is it mainly cornstarch or something....

Original Post by minie13:

OK guys - I tried a Luna Bar and hated it.  It was all oaty and gross.  I want something more chewy like a soft brownie/cakey/fudgy texture rather than an otameal cookie texture.  Are Larabars more that?  Because they look really good on their website and I'm thinking about getting one tomorrow.  But I don't really want to waste 200 calories on a piece of crap I don;t even enjoy like I did with the luna bar.

Also I'm a big sweets fan and love chocolate & cinnamon flavors, so which flavor do you recommend I get?

I'd recommendclif bars for that. have u tried those??
