I am still very confuse about my body, some days I love it, some days I hate it.
I am technically underweight (though I don't feel like it right now) and have been for about 2 years. My highest weight that I know of was 148, but I am 5'11.5" so I guess I was about average. At this weight I ate whatever I wanted and as much of it as I wanted but I also did volleyball, basketball, club volleyball and track.
But, I started to think i needed to lose weight so I sort of stopped eating. I mean I wouldn't eat breakfast or lunch (even if I had practice after school!) then when I got home, since I was ravenous, I would eat something for dinner. I kept doing this for a long time but didn't weigh myself for probably 5 months.
Then, when I did weigh myself I was surprised to see that I only weighed 125. This made me very happy though. I stayed within 5 lbs. of this weight until just recently when I went to Europe.
While there I thought I was going to gain weight for sure because of all the food. I mean I actually ate at every meal and had dessert after lunch and dinner. (Our meals were planned out for us). Some days we did only get bread for breakfast though.
So, about a week after I got home I finally got to weigh myself to see how much I had gained.. but I didn't gain any.. I only weighed 114. The last time I weighed that much was in 6th grade! I mean we probably walked atleast 5 miles everyday and it was hot and humid but I ate more than usual so, I still don't know how that hapened. Maybe my metabolism increased?
Well, now I am back up to about 128 and I seem to stay around that pretty easily. I normally consume around 1200 a day and I sometimes find myself skipping meals without even realizing it. The things I do eat are healthy though and I always make sure I eat a good breakfast before my weight training class, so I think I am improving.
My goal right now is to increase my metabolism so that I CAN eat more and to exercise every day like I used to.
