Junk foods should be kept to a bare minimum. Even if they "fit" into your daily calories, the ingredients that are in them will NEVER fit into a healthy diet. The food you eat either makes you more healthy, or less healthy. There is no food neutral. In my experience the less crap you eat, the less crap you crave. The 'detox' period can be difficult but it gets easier and easier the longer you go. If you continue to eat these foods, you are going to continue to crave them. Having to weigh and measure your foods so you don't binge signifies an unhealthy relationship with that food. Processed foods are designed to make you want to overeat. The added sugar, salt, fat, and flavors release feel good chemicals in your brain. Your body sees this food as a comfort, a reward; thus not a healthy psychological response. |

When you're 80? I'd be more concerned with regretting it the next day. There's a lot of ugly tattoos out there, and like fashion, tattoos have their "cool" phases. Remember when lower back tattoos used to be cool? Now they just make you look trashy. Chineses symbols, tribal designs, and your name in big stupid letters will never fail to make you look like an idiot. |

This isn't hard to figure out on your own. and why do you think you *need* to have (x) amount of protein, carbs, fat per day? Normal people do not eat like this. |

That's terrible advice. The point is to learn how to eat real food, not rely on supplements and conveinenance junk. |

If by "honey" and "cinnamon" you mean "healthy diet" and "exercise", then yes, yes they work. |

Easy. You eat whole foods. Vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, roots, tubers, and if you can tollerate it: sprouted/soaked grains and legumes (tempeh is one of my favorite foods) I eat a low carb diet and have no problem meeting or exceeding the recommended amount of fiber per day. |

The best way I've used it is by letting it sit in the cupboard for the last 3 years and not touching it. Seriously, that stuff is the devils dandruff. |

Thats what you get for yo-yo dieting. You lose muscle mass, your basal metabolic rate drops... thus making it easier to put weight back on, and harder to take that weight off. You need to focus on building muscle and eating enough-- NO excessive cardio or calorie cutting. |

| Foods | soya milk- is it good or bad? | May 10 2013 18:50 (UTC) |

Traditionally prepared soy is healthy (ie: tempeh, natto, miso, tofu, wheat free soy sauce, edamame) Overly processed soy products (ie: milks, veggie meats, TVP, protein powder, soya oil) are not healthy. If you're gonna eat soy, it should be in the least processed way as possible or fermented. Homemade raw almond milk, raw dairy milk, or canned coconut milk are your best options. |

I agree. Feeling obligated to eat any junk food that is offered to you is silly. That's like feeling you have to drink/smoke/do drugs...etc. if offered. You learned in kindergarten not to give in to peer pressure, why should food be any different? Even if you say yes and take one, no one says you have to eat it immediately. Save it for later, or throw it out/give it to someone else when they leave. |

Soy oil is not healthy, therefore no your stir fry is not healthy. Change your oil, and your problem is solved. |

Funny, but kind of backhanded. It should not be that just because you are a mom that you have the permission to let yourself go. This comment likely did not come out of the blue. The boy's mom had probably mentioned something previously about her weight or other people's weight in front of her children. When I was a kid I never noticed weight or considered certain weights good/bad... these behaviors/thoughts are learned. |
