My brother actually used to joke around and call me fat when I was younger...a few years later, we were hanging out together and he told me I was too skinny and that I'd look better if I put on some weight. I mentioned that he used to call me fat, and he didn't even remember it! He told me that I was always skinny so he doesn't know why he'd have called me fat. So yeah, take what brothers say with a grain of salt. |

I can go 2.5 minutes on a plank (on elbows) if i really try. I usually just do a couple sets of 1-1.5 minutes though, just tried to see how long I could do it. Also, isn't the crow pose more balance? I'm in Yoga 1 in school and that's what my teacher said...we did the crow pose the other day, and I held it for about 20 seconds once I got my balance down |

I wasn't aware that people weren't allowed to ask questions on these forums anymore......funny, I thought that was the reason they were here. |

I used to take lexapro and it never seemed to affect my weight. The first two weeks I was on it, I actually lost a bunch of weight since I was on too high of a dosage and got really nauseous/sick and couldn't eat or do much. I don't think SSRI's really affect weight in general though...at least that's what my doctor told me before I started taking it, and from my personal experience. |

/faceknife No, you don't burn 1090 calories because you're HOLDING ON and doing very little of the work the machine assumes you're doing. omg. she cant be serious. |

You could use the katch-mcardle formula for bmr, but there probably won't be too much of a difference. Here: BMR (men and women) = 370 + (21.6 X lean mass in kg) |

Now that I think about it, the times it hit 450+ calories might've included my burn from my warm-up (so that would be for 50 min lifting + 10 min cardio) I do know it would get at least in the high 300's/low 400's for just the lifting pretty often though. I do go pretty hard with weights though, my heart rate would get in the 190's-200's from doing the main compounds (squats/deadlifts/bench), compared to the 160's-180's during cardio. But I had less rests in cardio |

I'm not a guy, but my fiance always says how he wants me to gain 10-20 lbs since I tend to put on weight in my butt/thighs. (I'm 5'4, 108 lbs, size 0/xs currently). He said he'd love it if I was 130 lbs, but my body absolutely refuses to go above 117-120...even when I ate as much as him and didn't exercise lol. And he's a big guy so I was eating a ton. He also really doesn't like when I have a thigh gap. |

If you actually read the article correctly...it says a MINIMUM of 1200 for women and a MINIMUM of 1500 for men. Which means it's the amount a small, old, sedentary woman/man can lose weight on. And it's just kind of stupid to think that everyone in the world maintains on the same amount of calories. |

Yeah I can see them bulging out noticeably, and then if I don't lift for like 4 days they don't bulge out as much. Thank you for the advice, I'm definitely gonna try to narrow my stance a bit |
