Welll, it isn't looking good for 7 lbs by Labor Day weekend :)  Oh well, I'll take 4 or 5 pounds and keep it goin until I see what I want to see!  I'm so close to my goal weight, but I feel like I can stand to lose another 10 lbs.  I might have to adjust my goal to 135 or 132.

Only .4 pounds from last week.  I did well eating, but really didn't exercise.  Hoping I'll do better next week!

Here are my stats for last Friday.  I went camping over the weekend.  I hiked a lot, but quickly replaced those burned calories with s'mores!  I have a wedding coming up this weekend, and in 3 weeks, so it will take some extra willpower not to indulge in too much.

Great job so far, everyone!

7 lbs will put me at my goal weight (after 3 years!)  I'd love to join this party.  I'm finding it so much harder to lose now that I am so close.  My original goal was 145, but I still don't look/feel my best.  I'm hoping 138 will do the trick so I can switch to maintenance.

My plan is to stick with the calorie counting, limit alcohol to special occasions AND even then in moderation, and work out 4x a week.  I started the week with a brutal spinning class on Monday, and I played an hour of tennis yesterday.

Hi Tammy - I had about 4 weeks of 150-152 weigh-ins, so it wasn't truly 3 lbs. in a week!  I hope I have broken through my plateau.  I am zig-zagging my calories for the next few weeks, just to change things up a bit.  Hope you see the numbers move next Friday!

Down 3.1 pounds!  I found myself stuck between 150-152 for over four weeks in spite of some pretty serious effort, so for the next four weeks I'm going to try zig-zagging my calories.  I hope that will help me hit my goal of 140!  Seems to be effective so far, and today is my high calorie day so I'm looking forward to a dinner out!

hey clooms - welcome to the group!  you live in the best possible city for a gym hater!  walking around the city is good exercise.  you can definitely lose weight just by calorie counting.  exercise gives you more flexibility in what/how much you can eat and still lose weight, so it makes it easier.  it is all about math in the end (your output has to be more than your intake to lose lbs).

i would suggest getting a pedometer ($8ish bucks for a basic one).  you probably already walk 3 miles a day or so...maybe try bumping it up to 5 miles a day by taking a lunchtime walk.  just a thought.  if you have a friend that would be up for exploring, take a long weekend walk around a neighborhood you don't frequent.  or just throw on your ipod and go by yourself to do something good for your body.

Back at 152 again because of fun vacationing, but I'm really going to step up my triathlon training and food logging this week!

Sorry, Tammy.  Don't worry too much about any fluctuation that is less than 3 lbs.  Unless you gain steadily, it might just be water weight!

I'm a bit frustrated too, because I've been in the 148-149 range all week, but the scale this morning said 150.6.  Up half a pound from last week.

3/26: 150.1

4/2: 150.6

I leave for Puerto Rico next Friday, so I'm hoping for 148!

How frustrating, sawerdeshy.  That happened to me last week, but I was down two pounds yesterday.  Hope you break through after your visitor leaves town.

Great job, Lanette!

sekruzel, I am doing a sprint triathlon in June and an Olympic distance in September!  I have been doing a lot of cardio and strength training, so I hope that any weight gain or steadiness is do to muscle gain!

3/19: 152.4

3/26: 150.1

Woohoo!  I'm hovering around 150, but I hope that I'll be happily in the 140s over the next two weeks.

Keep it up, everyone!

Good work losers!   Wink   I have decided to have a mini-goal to be unquestionably under 150 by April 9th.  I weighed in at 152.4 last Friday, but 150.4 this morning, so I think I can do it!  I'm heading to Puerto Rico for a few days on April 9th, so putting on a bathing suit is the best motivation I can think of.  Plus, it feels so good to get on the manual scale at the gym and not have to move the bottom weight off of the "100"  to the "150."

My overall goal weight is still 140.

Weighed in at 152.4 this morning.  Up a little less than a pound from last week, so I'm frustrated.  I worked out pretty hard this week, and stuck to 1400 calories a day (for the most part).  Oh well, it isn't devastating.  There's always next week.

Hi everyone!  I have been hovering between 150-153 for months now, though I just started food logging and getting serious again two weeks ago.  So to catch up with this train, I'll post my last two Fridays:

3/5: 152.6

3/12:  151.2

My goal weight is 140.

I worked out hard on Saturday, but cancelled it out with Saturday night drinks :-) I'm heading to the gym after work if it kills me.  Does anyone else have trouble with Monday workouts?

weddingmama - i was really nervous before my first sprint triathlon and must have looked terrified before the race.  there were many serious competitors there because there was a cash reward for the winners.  a kind woman came up to me in the transition area before the race and asked if it was my first tri.  she told me "in the tri world, there are competers and there are completers, just cross the finish line and you will feel great!"  she was right.  i didn't win any prizes, but i felt really accomplished when i finished.  i am about to do my first olympic distance triathlon this september.

just keep building your endurance in whatever way you enjoy, and work on your swimming to build confidence to swim in a crowd.  best of luck!

I'm down to 151, but I'm about to go on vacation so I'm scared that my lack of routine will hurt my progress.  Decided to set some mini goals and rewards for myself:

If I don't gain more than a pound on vacation, I'll buy a nice frame for a picture I take there.

How is everyone doing?

Can I join this party?  5'8 and 155 (have kept almost 20 lbs off for 2 years, but ready to get going again to my goal).  140 is where I'd like to be, if that is the weight where I feel amazing.

Going to do my best to eat 1250 on no-exercise days, and keep those to a minimum.

Nicole - I eat for no reason too (well, i guess the reason is that food is delicious).  I'm trying to down a bunch of water instead, and keep busy at home so I won't think about food.

Good luck everyone!
