Hii I'm Charlotte.
Sex: Female Age: 21 Height: 5'6" or so Current Weight: 170 Goal Weight: 135-140
I'm really not an active person at all and don't do any sport, but like walking and do Wii Fit when I'm at home, so most of my weight loss will have to come from cutting out calories rather than exercise. I'm trying to lose weight by eating mainly fruit, vegetables, seafood and spices with some bread, cheese and meat but I don't know how long it'll be before I'm craving chocolate and other unhealthy food. I really want to lose weight but in a healthy way and then maintain the weight loss once I'm down to my goal weight. I'm a language student and don't work so spend a lot of time sitting on my arse, unfortunately. |

Wow, by reading all these posts it seems that you get much more choice at Subways in America than you do here! I'll have to go and have one whenever I'm in the States to try something more exciting than what we have in the UK. Anyway, my favourite sandwich at Subway is a 6" Italian BMT on Italian Herbs and Cheese, with lettuce, cucumber, peppers, olives, gherkins and jalapeños, with Southwest Chipotle sauce. When I'm on a diet, however, I usually go for Ham with Honey Mustard Sauce instead, as it saves a fair wack of calories. If I have a ham sub it works out as 340 calories, which I think is really good, especially since there's cheese in the bread. |

I've been watching this show on 4od and although I really enjoy it, I think it's fairly flawed. Firstly, when they show you how much food the superskinny person eats in an average week, it always looks like pitifully little and mainly low calorie foods, but then apparently they are eating a 'shockingly low' 1700 calories, or there about. I always think that the show must have added up these calories wrongly, as I try to eat around the 1400 mark and I always eat more than the superskinnies do, and higher fat things at that. Secondly, the main problem for a lot of these superskinnies is that they are afraid to eat certain food groups, such as carbs or dairy, and many believe that they have intolerances to these foods despite no medical evidence to back it up. Although I'm not a dietician or an expert on why people undereat, I doubt that forcing these people to then eat the diet of an obese person, filled with these dreaded food groups, is the way to make them re-embrace these foods. If you are convinced that eating dairy makes you feel ill, and then after being forced to eat a massive amount of ice cream, for example, you feel ill, you will continue to think that eating dairy makes you feel bad, when really it is the quantity not the food type which has caused you to feel that way.

I've lost 5lb, though I had lost 8lb as of a week or so ago, but I've been out drinking three times this week which has upped my calorie intake, so I've gained a bit. Hopefully those three pounds will drop off pretty easily again though. |

I buy a lot of tinned foods that do as a meal by itself, such as soup or ratatouille. Ratatouille from Asda is only 140 calories for the tin and is very cheap. |

I've only heard of celery as being a negative calories food, and doubt that even that is true, let alone the rest of it. I do know that chillis increase your metabolic rate, though, so that could be true. |

Why are you calling the mods? I used to be about 18 pounds lighter a few years ago, and I just felt better and looked really good. I look alright at the moment, but I felt more healthy and sexy when I was that weight, even though I was still around 10 stone which is nowhere near skinny. I've got a curvy shape, so I look alright when I'm not thin, but I'd look a bit more shaped if I lost a bit. |

Breakfast: Nothing, as got up late (its easter holidays) Lunch: Chicken, mushroom and rice soup from Marks and Spencers and 160g watermelon Snack: Banana Tea: Prawn and rice salad from Marks and Spencers too (300 cals) Then after tea I had a small bit of cheese and a bite of cake my boyfriend had And then about half an hour ago I started to feel a bit weak cos I'd been eating a lot until a few days ago, so I went and got a galaxy ripple and a bar of cadbury's fruit and nut. Shame on me. I feel great now though :) All in all I had about 1300 cals. |

I'm saving up my amazon vouchers to get this when they have it back in stock, cos I think they've already sold out even though it hasn't been released yet! I think it would make me do exercise, cos then I wouldn't even have to leave my bedroom instead of having to bother getting to the gym to exercise. Games like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics made me really tired like, so this will probably be a really good exercise thing. |

Foods like celery are good if you're on a diet because you can eat them as snacks when you're hungry and you won't put on any weight, cos they're practically no calories even though they're not negative. It's pretty much just celery and cucumber I think cos they're almost totally water. Eating them along with an unhealthy diet won't do anything, but if you just want something to keep you full then go for them. |

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
