Experience:

Jennifer has worked for a number of years as a Pathologists' Assistant, where she has encountered the damaging, and sometimes deadly, effects of high cholesterol and heart disease in many of her patients. She currently holds an adjunct faculty appointment at a local private college. Instructing allied health students in the biological sciences, Jennifer feels that knowledge is an especially important weapon in maintaining good health. Additionally, she is a pharmacy intern actively involved in educating patients about the importance of heart disease prevention by lowering cholesterol levels through a nutritional diet, exercise, and proper use of their medications.

Education:

Jennifer holds a BS in Chemistry and Microbiology and a MS in Molecular Biology. She is currently in her second year of pharmacy school, working towards her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. Her interests include pharmacology, patient education, and the pathological role necessary molecules like cholesterol play in the body.

From Jennifer Moll:

"We can't live without cholesterol in our bodies, as it performs many important functions in the body, such as giving integrity to the cell and being the main precursor to all of the steroid hormones manufactured in the body. However, when too much accumulates in the blood, the accumulation of this molecule on the walls of your blood vessels begins. The dual role cholesterol plays in the body is what makes it such a fascinating molecule!"
