Fitness is anyone else doing insanity? May 08 2012

I completed both rounds of Insanity more than a year ago and I still use the workouts to this day. They're amazing. The first round is definitely much easier than the second, and I still dread doing the second round of videos. I've now moved on to Insanity Asylum, which came out last year. I thought Insanity was tough... But Asylum is INSANE (pun intended of course Smile).

I do have to say that while I did Insanity the first time I didn't follow any sort of diet plan. I can't say that I was eating well so I didn't see major results physically, but I wasn't overweight to begin with. I'm now eating a lot better while doing Insanity and I'm definitely toning up like I wanted to in the first place.

have you ever tried turkish delight?: nope

favorite buffet place: I really don't frequent buffets often, which is probably a good thing.

Weight Loss Should I up my calories for the day? Apr 08 2012

Typically with women it tends to be the waist size that determines pant size... Well, at least it seems to be that way to me!

Thanks everyone for the advice!

I will definitely be upping the calories then. My goal is to lose all that weight by August, so I know it will be slow. I also have a good amount of muscle, so if I don't reach that weight I'll be okay... As long as the pant/dress size is the number I want I'll be good.

I personally love exercise DVD's. Seriously, I couldn't live without them. I hate machines because I find them boring and often they aren't challenging enough, so I don't have gym membership and I workout from home. If the weather is horrible, I'll go running as well. I'd much rather run outside then on a treadmill.

I don't know if you have OnDemand, but if you do they have loads of free fitness videos ranging from a few minutes to an hour. Most of the workouts are beginning to intermediate levels. Netflix also has free videos.

Also, Amazon.com has tons of DVD's to choose from and they really aren't that expensive. I'd recommend trying a Jillian Micheals workout.

If you're looking to spend a little money and you are in well enough shape, then I highly recommend you try Insanity, Turbofire, Chalean Extreme, or P90x. All of those are Beachbody workouts and although they are pricey, they are absolutely amazing programs that you can do in your living room.

Insanity is by far the best workout I'd done.... Until I tried Insanity Asylum. That series makes Insanity look like a dream. I love them both though. Simply amazing.
