I've had a crazy week but it's not over yet! Feeling a little stressed out and eating a bit too much but weight is holding steady so I'm ok. Leaving for GA tomorrow morning for a long weekend so I probably won't weigh in on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Yay! New/returning people! :)

@bb51807 - Are you still home with your baby? That was the hardest part of for me. I was home with my kids when they were little and took on the bad habit of snacking when they did, which is about every 2 hrs! ;)  Also wanted to mention you don't need to post what you did if you don't want to. I do more to remind myself that I recorded all my activities but it's not required. Though I also like to see what other activities people are doing so post if you want to. :)

So this was a total surprise this morning. I didn't get on the scale on Sat or Sun, just forgot. This morning I almost forgot too and when I remembered I was grumbling about it because I had pizza and beer for dinner last night. I was sure I was going to be 153. Got on the scale 5 times and it said the same thing every time so Woo Hoo! I'm going with it. Only possible explanation is that yesterday was the first day in more than a week that I had 8+ glasses of water... plus the 1 beer. ;)

Hi! I've continued my inability to sit down and check in on CC this week. I wanted to thank everyone for the emails and comments! I know that my life's distractions are going to continue and I'd rather give up my spot to someone that can and wants to participate in WJs. I'll continue to be here on CC and check journals and other posts when I get the chance so I won't be gone. And who knows, I might get myself back on the waitlist in the future. Good luck on the next round of goals! :)

Woo hoo! I thought I might be a little short this month. Not to mention I'm going ice skating tonight which will add another hr or so, so I'll be over! :)

Glad to have you back Bob! I was wondering if I'd hear from you again. We've haven't had many challengers the past 2 months. I was wondering if we should keep this up for December or not? I need a place to track my minutes anyway and here's as good as anywhere but...

I was lower most of the week, not extremely lower. I'm feeling a little stressed out this week and I'm eating as a result. I think the only reason I'm not gaining more is that I'm sticking to my exercise plan. I think I'm going to have to go back to logging my food for a week to keep myself honest.

I'm trying to think of something and nothing is coming to mind at the moment. This past summer one of my main thoughts was to find a buddy for exercise and my friend Melissa has become that in the past few months. She moved to the same town as me last Spring (I've known her 10 years) and joined the same Y that I'm a member at. This month we've been doing a pilates/yoga challenge: trying to do 20 mins of yoga or pilates daily and the one with the most number of days wins and the loser buys the winner a massage. This has been very motivating and we usually check in every day on this, not to mention see each other at spin class once or twice a week.

And Hillary's mention of a health spa is kind of taken care of for me too. Two friends and I are going to San Pedro, Belize in January for a beach vacation week. And the resort has a spa which I plan to take full advantage of. We completed all the bookings last week. :)

Hillary, could you update the MIA list? Once again, I'm late with it. The following have been MIA for 1 week, last week:

Lastly, I've decided I should bow out of Wagon Jumpers. I'm finding that my heart just isn't in it. I've got so much going on outside of CC these days and I think that my repeated slacking on the MIA list updates is a perfect example of how I'm not keeping up. I don't plan to leave CC all together just things that don't require as much participation/maintenance. Is there someone that would be willing to take my monthly topic posting or the MIA list? Maybe 2 different people could volunteer?

So I'm finally have some time to weigh in on this. I didn't really mean to focus it on Thanksgiving. It was more that I was in the store last Sunday and it was a total madhouse with all sorts of crazy and different items that only appear at the holidays. I was shopping with my sister and she was pointing out crazy, unnecessary food items that we didn't need and I was like "Why?" We were staying at her house so if she wants to buy it I don't really care because I was leaving the next day and just wouldn't eat it. Then I checked the list of topics we had from a few months ago and saw this one.

Then I returned home the next day and went shopping for my own household and bought a bunch of crap that I shouldn't have. I bought Trader Joe's Cheese Crunchies!! What's wrong with me? I didn't eat them for 2 days but then took them out for lunch on Wed, kids and I had some, then the kids left for their father's house Wed night for 4 days and yesterday I spent most of the day eating the rest of them. You see, I use the excuse that they're for the kids, and my kids do like them, but I like them more. I also bought Trader Joe's mini chocolate chip cookies. Again, bought them because my son likes them and we've had a box of the Trader Joe's Lemon Drop cookies in the house going on about 4 weeks now. I bought those because I knew my daughter would like them and I don't like them. Well she doesn't care about cookies that much so she'll eat them but mostly she's like "whatever." And then learned my son doesn't really like them so they're just sitting around and I felt I should get something I know he likes! But again kids are gone for 4 days and I'm eating all the chocolate chip cookies!! Sigh. Now I haven't done this for about 2-3 months so I don't feel too bad about the whole thing but now I am thinking I can't allow it to snowball into other things. And next time I go to Trader Joe's I'm most definitely skipping the Cheese Crunchies.

@hackerk: Yay for you doing a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving! Way to go! :)  I too did a fundraising spin event on Thanksgiving morning. It was 25 min spin class followed by 20 mins of abs and stretching.

Was at my sister's yesterday so didn't weigh in until this morning. Same as the start of the week which is good seeing that I spent the last 2 days eating ridiculous amounts of food. I'm back on the wagon today though and went to an hr spin class already this morning. :)

Weekly Topic:
As we approach the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday and food shopping can be overwhelming (the stores are so busy and pushing so many holiday foods), the following topic from our list came to mind: What foods do you purchase that you know you shouldn't? Why is it that you purchase them? Does this behavior snowball into a habit if you buy them once or twice in a row?

We only have 2 weeks left for our goal round. How is it going? Will you make your goals? Remember that faltering on your goals is not failure! Getting back on the wagon and finishing strong is still an option. :)
