Was up and at the gym by about 4:40 today.  Did back and arms so it's a heavy workout day.  Felt great!  Tomorrow will be HIIT cardio, so dragging it out of bed will be much tougher!

How many people have grand plans to get up in the morning to perform a killer workout only to realize that you've just been hitting snooze for the last hour?!

That would be me.  I'm determined to make a change, but I need some group support.  I used to exercise in the morning and had so much energy, slept better, and my blood pressure was better.

Now, I don't exercise at all.  And that needs to change!

If you're goal is to exercise more and the best time to accomplish that goal is before the sun rises, please, join me!!

Check in every morning before you exercise whenever you want and we can encourage each other to reach our goals!

Crack of dawn is my only chance to train.  I try and be at the gym by 4:30am.  I set my alarm for 5 days a week, and feel good if I get there 3...lol.

Thanks for the responses.  I realize I didn't word my question very well.  I was asking about the mental aspect of running.  Trying to talk myself into it, so to speak.  I get up at 4am to train, so I can get my workout in, come home so my wife can, and then hit the road for work.  When I wake up on days I am lifting, I am up and ready to go, but on cardio days my head plays tricks on me.  I hope in time that changes.  Thanks again!

After nearly 5 years out of the gym, I came back 5 months ago.  This past month I benched 355lbs for 4 reps, squatted 475lbs for 5 reps, 1,000lbs on the sled for 12 reps, and dumbell curls 65lbs for 10 reps.  I may never be skinny, but I'm going to make sure I am always strong.

Thanksgiving in my family is tremendous.  Glad I don't eat with some of y'all because it sounds like a bad scene.  We made homemade capalletti and porketta, my brown bad turkey, homemade dressing with chorizo and fresh mushrooms, and tons of home made pies and candies.  I spent all day yesterday cooking, and I've been up since 4:30, to hit the gym and then back to the kitchen.  I love Thanksgiving!

Well done.  I wish I'd have done the photos of me, the last 3 months.  Great idea!  Oh, and I live fairly close to KC.  Where you going to school?

I'm originally from Atlanta, but go to school at Kansas State University, in good old Manhattan, KS!

Let me apologize in advance for what my Sooners are going to do to your Wildcats today.

When I reach my goal, I will start the backpiece I've been drawing for ten years.  And I'll walk with my head a little higher, even if most people don't know why.

Thanks everyone its greatly appreciated! Being off at college my family hadn't seen me through this whole transition, over the summer they didn't recognize me! As for the race, I've ran a 10k over the summer no problem and have been training pretty hard for the 1/2 marathon, just getting nervous, that "good" nervous though! If anyone is running the Kansas City Waddell and Reed Marathon/Half tomorrow, be on the look out for me! :)

BBQ sauce.  On most anything.  Raw veggies, eggs, cooked veggies, pasta, rice, even oatmeal.  It's my condiment for everything.
