Hey don't worry about it! Seriously that's the secret, to not let it all go to hell the next day.  Just pick up the next morning with your healthy breakfast like it never happened.

Also, may I suggest, if you are on a strict diet where you don't eat a lot of treats, avoid choco like the plague.  For me personally, it is so flavor-intense that if I have one bite, I have a storng urge to eat more, and that causes me to fall off the wagon.  Just don't put it in your mouth.

But if you do, just pick up the next day like it never happened!  It's not going to matter in the long run.

Hey everybody I'm totally with you here... I'm trying to tone up for summer.  I am 5'6, and 134 - 135.  I look and feel best at 130.  I was steady at 130 for a while but have been slacking and eating whatever.

Anyway you know how frustrating it can be to try to shed those last few.  So Somebody please add me as their friend.

I'd like to find somebody who wants to weigh in every morning.  That is one of the best ways to keep myself accountable.

Its hard during the winter... it has been raining here like every day and I am sick of going to the gym.  I love the summer, when I do yard work, ride my horse, and go running/swimming/biking... so much easier!  Now I am just pigging out!

I'll check back in!

Fitness Elliptical Calorie Count - Is it Real? Jan 24 2008

No way, the elliptical is wrong... I do the elliptical then the stairmaster, and work way harder on the stairmaster, feeling more tired and swaety.  The stairmaster syas I burned way less (comparing a 15 minute session to a 15 minute session) than the elliptical.

Running burns about 100 cals permile, no way elliptical matches that.

For me, I round down, if it says I burned 140, I estimate I burned 100 or 90.

Weight Loss I'm afraid to eat more than 1200 calories, but I am not losing weight anymore!!!! Jan 23 2008

I agree with all of the suggestions above, bump up the protein and lower the sugar if you can.  Also, for me personally I can't live on salad and I don't lose weight that way... I do better on small portions of carbs and protein with of course as many fruits and veggies as possible.

Moreimportantly, bump up the intensity of your cardio, throw in some sprints if you are running.  And change your cardio.  Do you do any stairmaster, jump rope, etc.?  The change is big.  Throw something at your body it doesn't expect.  Lift weights if possible.

And lastly, hang in there, cuz being a woman makes watching the scale suck!  It is easy to gain and lose 2 pounds overnight!  It's water or a BM!  I hope that helps.

Weight Loss diet feedback. help appreciated! rate my eating! Jan 23 2008

Looks super healthy and I was amazed at how much you could eat and still keep your calorie count so low.  The only thing I would change is to amend your foods so they are more like what you may be used to eating, so that you can sustain it for a long time.  For example, instead of eating a can of tuna, maybe a healthy tuna sandwich with veggies on it?  That way when you have lost some weight and you are ready to stabilize your weight, you will still be eating as you always were.

But otherwise I am gonna take some pointers from your diet!

Weight Loss a plateau like no other...... Jan 22 2008

Hi,

Your workout seems too low intensity.  My specific recommendation to you is to lift more weights, as heavy as possible so you really have to work at it.  But also, and I can't stress this enough, train for a traithalon.  No, not a real, full length one, but an imaginary one.  Swim for a half hour (if you have access to a pool), then go immediately to a bike (outdoor preferred but indoor OK) and go as hard as you can for another half hour.  Then run for 3 miles.  You will be amazed at how your body responds.  Guaranteed to shake you out of any plateau and make you feel HOT!

I did it last summer cuz I was training for real, I couldn't believe the results.

Otherwise, congratualtions on your progress so far and just keep up the good work and your positive attitude!

Hang in there!  But I do have a recommendation... Try the pinch test.  Pinch your fat and you can always tell if its on the ample or slim side!  OUr eyes doth deceive us!
