Weight Loss Just Dance! Apr 07 2011

"Just Dance" is an awesome game! I love how fun it is while you're still getting in some good exercise. I like the "sweat points" feature as well! Apparently from the research I've done, 4.2 sweat points = 1 calorie. It adds up pretty quick and it's easy to burn a lot of calories! As long as you're actually standing up and doing the moves, not just sitting on the couch and moving your arms around, lol.

The Lounge What's your favorite vampire and/or werwolf shows/movies? Apr 04 2011

I'm not super big into werewolves, so I don't really have any favorite movies/shows as far as werewolves go. But I do like vampires a lot. My favorite vampire movie is Interview With The Vampire, as well as Queen Of The Damned. I really like Anne Rice's interpretation of the vampire. I personally don't care for Twilight at all, I think it's kind of dumb. I tried watching Trueblood, but when I found out about it, the show was already really far into itself on TV, so I never really got into it. I've heard really good stuff about it though and it looks awesome. I think I might rent the series from the beginning sometime. :)

Motivation How often do you fall off the wagon and how does it affect your motivation? Apr 04 2011

I just try to stay as positive as possible. I fall of the wagon too, but I just remember that I can fix it with a good workout and getting right back on the wagon the next day. Sometimes I eat a little less than normal the next day after my bad day too, and proceed as normal for all the days after.

Yes, you are correct. If you are eating 2000 calories a day, and you burn 400 during exercise, you need to eat 400 to get back up to your goal. As far as taking it slow, that sounds like a good idea because it will allow your body to get used to the increasing number of calories. Good luck!

The Lounge THIS woman is proud of her "curves"!#$? Apr 04 2011

She's thin and shapely and has a very nice body. She's not skin and bone nor is she fat. More models need to look like this. I'm bothered by all the women's bodies in the media today that look like they're gonna blow away in the wind. It's ridiculous.

I would recommend drinking lots of juices and high calorie beverages. Ice cream and peanut butter are usually very calorie dense and are easy to eat a lot of because it isn't very filling (sometime too easy for those of us who don't have your issue, lol). Also, I strongly suggest you go to the doctor because there are health problems such as gastrointestinal issues and thyroid disorders that can cause a person's metabolism to be ridiculously high. Best of luck.

What a beautiful post, seriously. Reading all of these lists and relating to all of them just makes me so proud of myself for kicking my ED's ass. Good luck to everyone who is recovering. You can do it. And believe me, it's so **** worth it.

Weight Loss Having problems with 1200 calories... Apr 02 2011

Everyone's body is different, and everyone's metabolism is different too. But when people say they "can't" get in 1200 calories...that's ridiculous. If you can't eat that many calories and get full too easily from the way your diet is, drink the calories in. You have to consume at least 1200 calories they say to stay healthy. There are plenty of high calorie beverages out there, even ones that are healthy. So really..."can't" get to 1200 calories? That's just blasphemy, lol. Most of us have trouble not going OVER 1200 calories. :P

Young Calorie Counters Size 0--Ever been or are you?? Size 0 only please. Oct 27 2010

I used to be anorexic a few years ago and was a size zero. I'm 5'5" (was 5'4" at the time - starving stunted my growth) and I weighed 90 pounds at my lowest point. I was a size zero, and I could barely fit into it. Believe me, being a size zero is NOT worth all of the things that come with it - unless you're a naturally small person who's already a size zero. Your hair falls out, your skin dries up, you get IBS, your thyroid slows, you get dizzy a lot, you can't sleep, you're cold all the time, and you're depressed 24/7. It completely damaged my health and it's taken years to get my body healthy again.  I now have hypothyroidism and will have it for the rest of my life. I have to take thyroid medication daily. I also screwed up the chemicals in my brain and now have to take anti-depressants daily too. Please don't starve yourself thin. It's not worth it.

The Lounge Smokers SUCK Oct 24 2010

I can understand both sides of this argument. I myself smoke, but I certainly don't do it around people. I like to do it in private outside where nobody is. I'm not embarrassed that I'm a smoker or anything, I just don't wanna inconvenience anyone who isn't a smoker. Smoking is my choice. I understand why people wouldn't want to smoke. It isn't for everyone, and everybody has different opinions on things. I personally love to smoke, but I don't smoke heavily, just occasionally. I think smoking a lot isn't good. But every once in a while is fine if smoking is something you enjoy, like me. Everything in moderation. It pisses me off that smokers have such a bad rep all because there are people out there who definitely annoy others who aren't smokers by blowing smoke in their faces. Not everyone likes smoking and it's important to be considerate of others. As long as you're doing that, and as long as you're not an excessive smoker, I think it's fine. Peace.

Health & Support The atmosphere at the dinner table makes me not want to eat! Oct 19 2010

My family has never been one to eat at a dinner table. It's usually a just fend-for-yourself food hour. But whenever I go up to Washington state to visit my aunts, uncles, and cousins - they ALWAYS eat at a dinner table. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. Eating in front of people makes me feel awkward. It always has. As far as what you're going through though, I would talk to your parents in a calm and collected manner. Sit them down and when you have their full attention, tell them how what they say makes you feel bad. Explain to them why it makes you feel bad. Try to come up with a compromise that you can all feel comfortable with. Hope that helps. Best of luck. =)

I am hopelessly addicted to that stuff. I'm talkin' about 4 cans a day. I know it isnt healthy, but I just love it sooo much. And it has no calories, so it doesn't really concern me. Say what you want, but I'm not giving up my diet soda! Haha.
