Congrats and Happy b-day a little late! Trust me if feels great! I was a overweight teenager (at my highest 220 and 5'7) and have gotten down to 165....

First off...yes I know I have a job and I should be happy with that fact but I am not getting paid what I am worth.

I work in a daycare and I am making Iowa's minimum wage which is $7.25 per hour....I have been at that for almost a year and a half now....I have worked at the day care for 4 years now. I deserve a raise. I am not just saying this because I want more money...it is because I deserve it. I realize that I didn't get my last few raises because the minimum wage rate jumped up almost $1.25 an hour....but i have taken on more than my share of responsibility in the last year. Whenever a co-worker has something going on or is sick I am the one they call to cover them. I am the one who gets asked to work extra days and extra hours. I am the one who on a typical pay period works 8-15 extra hours than was scheduled for. I work part time. I do not have a car....I work my ass off...In four years I have called in sick 1 time...and that was to go to the ER because I had pneumonia. I was just offered by my boss the option to open a couple of days a month during the summer...she has only let 1 person open for her in 20 years....and she asked me if I want to do it. Obviously I do a good job and am good worker...I would just like to get a raise!!!

Lilsmiter......I agree with everyone else...you've found yourself a good one! My boyfriend is so much like this....oh and he is a marine too...like lonestar said it is a mix of the military and his momma ;-) My boyfriend is so incredibly sweet and just like you I was a little putt off at first...I wasn't used to being treated right. The marines teach men how to be real men and how to treat their women. Cherish what you have. :-)

I think a lot of woman with big boobs (who are heavy) use it as an excuse to not take care of their bodies.....like "well if i lose weight i lose my chest" ....it's such bs.  I hate it when woman are heavy and wear low cut shirts. no one wants to see it. do up your buttons!

Um I think not! I currently have 38DD.... I am 5'7 and 165 lbs...I am curvy...and I love it...when I was heavier I never ever used my breasts as an excuse....it's total bs that you said that they use that as an excuse...I have never met a woman that said I don't want to be healthy becuse then I won't have as big of boobs...as for the women who wear low cut shirts....don't like it don't look...it's confidence maybe they are comfortable with their chests...maybe it's the one part of their body they are proud of...you have no idea...why do you think that they should dress just to please you?....however I do not like it when a woman who is pretty heavy wears a  too tight top and it is very low cut...but then again I don't like it when anyone wears something really really tight and low cut.

A couple of suggestions...

first is to look into some vegetarian versions of your favorite dishes....so if you like Lasgna, try veggie lasgna, veggie burrito's or enchaladas, veggie packed spaghetti sauce, even veggie burgers. It may seem like you are jumping in right away with a bunch of veggies but if you think of it as just preparing one of your favorite dishes...like just making lasgna you will be more open to trying it. Also...if your kids don't know that there are a bunch of veggies in something they just might stumble across something that they love!

Another idea is to have a gold star program. For the first week introduce a new veggie with supper every day. Once you try it and take more than just a little baby bite but a big enough bite to really get a feel for the taste and the texture you, and your kids can get a sticker. You and your kids can also rate the veggies from 1-5 one being the worst thing you have ever tasted and 5 being really delicious. At the end of the week whoever has 5 stars gets to do something special with mommy (as long as you have 5 stars too ;-) ) like go to the park or go see a movie. Then the coming weeks you can incorporate the veggies that got say a 3 or higher into the weekly meal rotations and can "reintroduce" some of the lower scoring veggies to try to aquire a taste for them. And after the first week you can go on a monthly basis and if they...and you eat their veggies they get a star and at the end of the month maybe they get a new toy or get to go to the movies with you or something like that...and you can get something for yourself too...like a new pair of jeans or a new top or something like that...whatever would keep you motivated to keep eating the veggies. And it can get to the point where you won't have to keep stars and eating veggies will just become something you do. A lot of times doing something you don't want to do is a lot easier if there is something in it for you.

And the last suggestion is like what someone else said....suck it up and eat your veggies...

Yesterday we had a ice/snow storm here in N/E Iowa... First it rained/stormed...then it started to hail...then it started to sleet then went to freezing rain, back to hail and finally to snow...got about 2-3 inches of snow...oh and it is about 50 degrees today and all the snow is gone! It took my bf an hour and a half to drive back home from my house yesterday when in normally takes 45 minutes.

Take a lot of "me" time by doing plenty of nice things for yourself. Before he comes, get a nice massage and throughout the month focus on feeding yourself healthily and treating your body the best you possibly can. Definitely do little things that make you feel happy, like manicures and pedicures and buying a lovely new outfit. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water. The better you feel on the inside, the more it will show on the outside.

And your boyfriend sounds so loving and wonderful! I'm so happy for you, I can imagine how excited you're feeling.

 Thanks for the idea's...I know I need to try to get more sleep...lol..too many late nights up talking to my bf lol! Oh well, he always tells me to go to bed when I start sounding tired lol...he's my alarm clock too...always greeted with a "good morning gorgeous" text followed by a "how did you sleep babe" text lol....he told me he is falling in love with me last night. :-)

And yea he is wonderful....sigh lol :-)
