I am currently an athletic training student at UGA. I have gone back and forth with weight and diets but have never been able to be consistent and struggle with a different setback each time. Lack of consistency is pretty much the root of all struggles I have had. I have never been "skinny." I think the smallest I have ever been was something like 165lbs (I'm 5'4").

I used to be able to take dance classes, but the hours I have committed to athletic training ever since high school do not really allow me to take any classes. I miss taking classes and hope that one day I will be in a city that has classes late enough that it works with my crazy schedule!

Recently, my entire outlook has changed. I am no longer dieting to lose weight. I am becoming healthy. I want to feel better about myself and be able to take pride in being healthy, no matter what my size is. I don't want to be embarassed by a lack of consistent exercising or lack of eating healthy consistently. I want to be able to talk to my future athletes about their health without sounding like a hypocrit and without contradicting myself..."practice what I preach." Remembering this mindset helps me a lot, but I still struggle sometimes with certain temptations.
