thanks to both of you for your kind responses!

dancerqueen- you are quite the expert! im impressed. it sounds like its been a rought road for you, but that youve come out on top. congratulations. all of the information you have presented makes sense. i do have a question. how does any of this relate to pre-ed weight? or does that not matter? i never had a bmi over 20, but i know im not unique in that and i was also 17. it takes a lot of faith to let go and really go for recovery, a lot of courage. this weird in between isn't fun, but i fear that i wont be able to deal with the discomfort of trying to be more flexible with my eating, or eating more, or gaining weight. i guess i just need to wrap my head around the idea and really commit!

thomases bagel with cream cheese, small soy/2% latte

english muffin, 1 slice cheese, 1 egg cooked in butter, 8 oz. chocolate milk

100- large fruit cup

200- banana w/ 1 T pb

300- 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/3 cup granola and melon (favorite)

400- 2 slices bread spread w/ justins honey almond butter packet

500- cherry pretzel probar w/ vanilla latte

600- 3/4 cup tjs nutty american trail mix and a glass of milk

This happens to me every month! I am in recovery from anorexia, and every time this happens my ed convinces me I am turning into a compulsive over eater. Not the case!!My appetite always calms down after my period ends. Keep on eating and listening to you body. Also, I've heard when you have your period you need more calories...

Hey Julz-

I don't know if this helps but I have a friend who went through the same thing. With adequate treatment she was able to stop binging and some of the weight she gained fell off. She eats fairly normally now and looks great.

Hang in there and accept the support you are given, you don't deserve to stay in this misery!

snack- ensure, apple

lunch- almond butter on ww sourdough, hard boiled egg, soy latte

snack- 1/2 cup trail mix

dinner- spicy tuna roll, salmon sashimi

dessert- brownie w/ vailla gelato

i totally relate with the dried fruit. i love trail mix, but i also love granola bars. like 12 more raisins is really going to do anything. for some reason i don't have this problems with fats or proteins, just sugar and carbs. makes for lots of obessing.

thank you so much for your thorough response. i say i am eating 3000 calories, and i am, but i am also exercising. i live in a big city, and some how manage to walk 6-8 miles a day. i think it helps me justify eating 3000 calories, but is hindering the benefits of doing so. i am scared to stop but i know i need to. should i keep my calories at 3000 and  just decrease the walking? i think 3 miles would be more normal, just considering that is how much id be walking if i didnt take a 2x longer route everywhere. i have had to eat 4000+ inpatient but at this weight its so hard to convince myself to do that.

snack- ensure, granny smith apple

lunch- ww bagel w/ 2 slices melted swiss cheese, trader joes potato chips, iced tea

dinner- tuna nicoise salad (out!), a few glasses of wine

snack- banana and graham cracker italian ice!

lunch- fuji and cranberry tuna on ww wrap, red peppers (590)

dinner- basil pesto and swiss sandwich on whole wheat, slice of vegan carrot cake (710)

snack- (will be) plain yogurt w/ almonds, pink lady apple (350)

2820- may try to add something to snack... just fighting fullness/guilt.

ugh im still under. im 21 but ive never gained on less then 3000, usually 4000+ in treatment. i maintained this week. will try to fit in another snack tonight. still have trouble with liquid calories besides ensure... annoying irrational fear.
