I'm 5'3", so, maybe, close enough?  I'm having the same issue as you, but I can't really gain back my weight because I think taking back on almost 30 lbs would be just as bad.

My mom has gotten involved but as far as I know, after her making me see the doctor and getting council from him, I'd say go for getting the 2-3 lbs back (or whatever you're willing to gain) and cut your exercise some.  Another suggestion since the lack of a cycle is from a sizeable loss of fat, eat foods with greater calories from fat.  Like ice cream or candy; it's a treat, tastes good, and will help you maintain/gain weight.  I'm not saying you should throw healthy living out the window, but just at the end of the day eat something that is calorie dense that you can enjoy.

I keep hearing a lot about protein powder, so maybe i'll check that out.  The shake sounds good, and I love them anyways.  My mom gives me the money for food, I just have to find a way to get to the store and back, but I got a hold of some trail mix with cashews in it, so I have something to snack on now.  Thank you for the advice.

As far as vitamins, I take a calcium supplement and sometimes i'll eat a few tums for Vitamin C but no iron.  I guess I should.

I was wondering, so this was very helpful.

I've been on a 600-800 cal diet for the past month and a half, but over the past three weeks my weight loss has slowed considerably.  It really only seems I lose weight quickly now when I consume more than I think I should (which in reality, I guess would be considered a normal intake).  I've just gotten myself into a state of mind/conditioned by body to not really expect more than just enough, so I kind of get sick when I eat around 1000-1200 cal.

Thank you for posting this though, I'll try increasing my daily intake some.

No.  I'm not necessarily trying to lose weight.  I wanted to live healthier, because I am getting to the age where a pack of Zinger Cakes for lunch isn't going to cut it anymore, and my friend suggested Vegetarianism along with regular exercise.

My daily diet usually consisted of a fruit or two in the morning, a vegetable product and a cereal bar at lunch, another bar as a snack, and then whatever I can get for dinner.  So sometimes I just walk to the theater and get a small bag of popcorn, like tonight.  I'm not big on pastas or other breads, so I am having a slight problem with calorie reductions. (I've been trying to keep away from candy because it's only a bunch of crap I don't need).
